The Lost City stars Sandra Bullock as Loretta Sage, a brilliant romance-adventure writer known for featuring cover model Alan (Channing Tatum) as the heroic "Dash." While promoting her latest novel, Loretta is captured by the cunning billionaire (Daniel Radcliffe), who wants to find the lost treasure from Loretta's new story.

At SXSW while attending the Lost City premiere, Screen Rant spoke with Radcliffe about the festival, his role in the new movie, and much more.

Screen Rant: This is my first South by Southwest.

Daniel Radcliffe: Me too.

Really? Oh, so we're in it together. I was going to ask you for advice.

Daniel Radcliffe: How are you finding it?

You know what? I'm having a really good time.

Daniel Radcliffe: It's nice so far, right?

It's really nice. Except the weather is --

Daniel Radcliffe: It's colder than you were expecting!

I did not dress right.

Daniel Radcliffe: Me too.

I didn't pack right. I messed that up.

Daniel Radcliffe: I also was like, "Oh, it's Texas! It's hot all the time." Whereas it's still winter, technically. I guess I should have probably braced for that. But, no, normally film festivals are so intense. You don't really get to see anybody else that you know, but I did manage, the Daniels opened their film here last night, and so I got to go and see them today and catch up a bit. It's nice. It's a nice feeling.

I love that because I feel like a lot of times when I talk to people, they're in, they're out.

Daniel Radcliffe: Yeah, I'm still pretty in and out. I do some press and then I leave tomorrow. But to get to see one friend at a film festival and the familiar faces is always nice.

And you get out of the car, you get this lovely greeting of fans.

Daniel Radcliffe: I know and it's a nice level. There are not hundreds of people. It's not terrifying in the way that it can be. So this was very, very nice.

I've been cackling at this trailer every time I see it. I keep saying that. But is there a moment you're just so looking forward [to us seeing] tonight?

Daniel Radcliffe: There are so many scenes in this movie that I am not in and I was not there for [the] filming of. So I'm very, very, I'm excited to see the whole of the -- it's not a secret anymore, the Brad Pitt cameo. I'm excited to see all of that because I heard so much about that when that was happening. I'm just excited to see Channing and Sandra's scenes with just the two of them because those are the ones that I've only read and have, obviously, [imagined] them doing it. I'm very excited to see them in action.

I wanted to ask you really quickly because I'm loving the Weird Al images that we're getting.

Daniel Radcliffe: I am so excited. It's gonna be the longest wait for something to come out because I am so excited for people to see it. I think it's gonna be really really cool. We shot it in 18 days. It was an unbelievably fast shoot, and I don't know quite how we did it. But I think we did. I think it's gonna be good.

Do you know all his songs now?

Daniel Radcliffe: I knew a lot of them before, but now I definitely know, and now I can play some of the accordion. So that's a big step up from where I was before.
