Daniel Radcliffe reveals that working with Sandra Bullock on The Lost City was "mind-blowing." Radcliffe’s breakout role as the boy wizard Harry Potter propelled him into stardom at a young age and he has since received acclaim for a number of stand-out performances. His next role will be Weird Al Yankovic in an upcoming biopic set for Roku. Radcliffe's most recently starred in The Lost City opposite Sandra Bullock, whose major roles include Miss Congeniality, Ocean’s 8, and The Blind Side, with the latter having gone on to secure her the 2010 academy award for Best Actress.

The Lost City hit theatres on March 25 and has so far experienced a largely successful box-office run. The film stars Bullock as Loretta Sage, the author of a long-running series of adventure-romance novels. Channing Tatum stars as her cover model, Alan, otherwise known by fans of the books as Dash, who sets out to rescue Loretta after she is kidnapped by a man named Abigail Fairfax (Radcliffe) who seeks to discover the Lost City and its treasures. In the run-up to its release, Radcliffe, Bullock, and Tatum have discussed their time on set at length, sharing a number of fun anecdotes from production.

Now, Radcliffe has opened up about filming The Lost City with Bullock and how it was a true “pinch yourself” moment for him. Speaking to Empire, Radcliffe shared that, like most people his age, he grew up watching Bullock’s films and revealed that he has been a fan of the star for a long time. The actor went on to say that getting the opportunity to appear opposite her in The Lost City is still “mind-blowing” to him. Check out Radcliffe’s full quote below.

Working with Sandy was a real 'pinch yourself' moment, because I did grow up watching her, and have been a fan of hers for so long. So to actually get to be in a movie with her is still mind-blowing to me.

The actor said that he now finds it strange to watch Bullock's films after working with her, and shared a handful of his favorite movies from the star, citing While you were Sleeping and Infamous, alongside Speed and Miss Congeniality. Radcliffe also revealed that Bullock encouraged him to call her "Sandy," stating that his friends often laugh at him for being on a nickname basis with the star. It appears that the two actors have a true mutual respect for one another, with Bullock having recently opened up about meeting Radcliffe for the first time, sharing that she “really admire[s] and like[s] him so much.”

Bullock’s longstanding career and impressive filmography would likely elicit a similar response from most young actors, and it is certainly sweet to hear that Radcliffe has such a deep admiration for the star. Following the success of The Lost City and a rather interesting end-credits scene that teased a potential future for Brad Pitt’s Jack Trainer, who appeared in a short but highly memorable cameo, audiences are already calling for The Lost City to get the sequel treatment. With Fairfax apprehended in the film’s final moments, there is certainly room for Radcliffe to return, so if plans for a sequel are greenlit, it may not be too long until Radcliffe and Bullock are reunited on screen.
