Actor Daniel Radcliffe has recalled watching his co-star Sandra Bullock being pelted with cheese while filming their new movie The Lost City. The Lost City is a new action-adventure film from directors Aaron and Adam Nee. The Lost City tells the story of a romance author (Bullock) and her cover model (Channing Tatum) who are thrown into a jungle adventure after a kidnapping attempt occurs on the author's latest book tour. The Lost City also stars Radcliffe as the film's villain Abigail Fairfax, and since its release on March 25, the film has seen relatively good reviews from critics as well as success at the box office.

Actors are no strangers to having bizarre experiences on set in the name of getting the shot. In fact, a few wild stories have already come off the set of The Lost City, including a particular leech scene that has become popular since the film's release. As many moviegoers now know, there is a scene in The Lost City in which Bullock has to remove leeches from Tatum's naked body, and the actors have since been quite open about the fact that Bullock truly had to get up close and personal with Tatum's unmentionables on only the second day of filmings. However, it seems that was not the only somewhat strange or uncomfortable situation Bullock experienced while filming The Lost City.

In a recent interview with MetroRadcliffe has recalled one of his favorite moments to watch while filming The Lost City. In the film, there is a scene that Radcliffe has lovingly dubbed the "meat and cheese hurricane" in which Bullock is at the center of a meat and cheese vortex. According to Radcliffe, when filming Bullock's close-up for the scene, instead of using the fans that had been used for previous shots, there were instead "ten people hurling nuts and brie" at Bullock from just off-camera. Radcliffe has described watching the take as a "what is my life and what is my job moment." See his full quote below:

"I had a true, like, 'what is my life and what is my job' moment when I was on set, in the meat-and-cheese vortex hurricane scene that happens. The close-up on Sandy at the end of that scene involved just...there were no fans for it, it was just ten people hurling nuts and brie at Sandra Bullock from point-blank range, and I was just there going, 'this is weird and cool.'"

While Radcliffe seemed quite delighted at the incident, Bullock herself seems to remember it less fondly, though she did sarcastically admit that she was pleased that her pain brought Radcliffe pleasure. Bullock has gone on to state that while she still loves soft cheeses, she now knows that she likes them less when they are physically on her. This has not seemed to affect Bullock's outlook on The Lost City, however, as she has stated that if it performs well, she would consider returning for The Lost City 2.

The "cheese tornado" ultimately adds to the growing list of reasons that The Lost City shoot was so unique. The movie was filmed completely under quarantine due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and as such the cast and crew became very close while filming. It is likely that this will not be an experience soon forgotten by anyone who worked on the film, and especially by Bullock who certainly had a few wild rides during the process. Of course, the creators of The Lost City are very excited to be able to now share the film with the world, including the scene where Bullock is pelted with hors d'oeuvres.
