The season 4 finale "There's No Place Like Home" is one of the most fast-paced and thrilling parts of the show, as the Oceanic Six are able to use a helicopter to leave and when that doesn't get them home, Penny Widmore shows up and helps them.

Jack and Locke both realize that they have ended up on the island because they have a greater purpose than they originally thought in life, although Locke is able to admit this sooner than Jack can. Locke's words ring true but freak Jack out as he's not sure if he wants to dig deeper into this mystery.
