The award-winning Webtoon Lore Olympus returns with an official release date that's getting many fans excited about seeing Olympus' favorite couple, Hades and Persephone. However, a mysterious new visual is also leading fans into a theorizing frenzy on the current status of the Realms after season 2's hectic mid-season finale.

Written and drawn by Rachel Smythe, Lore Olympus offers a modern twist onto the classic Greek mythos by creating something completely wholesome. Sparks fly when Persephone, the goddess of spring, meets Hades, the god of death. The star-cross lovers fight for their love by battling heartbreak, family drama, politics, and Olympus' top elite Gods. The romance drama began publishing in 2018 and continues to break record-breaking numbers. While a Webtoon original, Lore Olympus is now a collectible trade paperback, with Volume two hitting stores in early July.

Rachel Smythe announced the official return date for Lore Olympus on Twitter. Set for late April, the series will be returning 4 months after its heated mid-season finale in early January. Smythe also revealed a mysterious visual of abandoned Underworld office equipment on a field of greenery. Along with a simple "See you soon. x" that ignited the flood gates for fan theories about the forthcoming season 2 continuation.

The month of April is perfect for the Goddess of Spring's return as it represents the blooming of plants and trees. In Latin, the name translates to "Aprilis" meaning "to open" and is also named after the Goddess of Love herself, Aphrodite. How Lore Olympus compares to the Hades and Persephone myth is much different, especially now that the Goddess of Spring stands trial against the Gods of Olympus. However, the visual reminds fans of the tree Persephone left in the Underworld, a place where no living things can survive in. As the trial reveals new truths about Persephone and the top Goddesses-including Aphrodite- Olympus will never be the same afterward.

Lore Olympus' return will finally answer many fans' questions and theorizes about Zeus' harsh ruling for the unfortunate couple. As Hades and Persephone are no longer able to see each other, their unforbidden love remains the core of the story's development, and might even bring forth more doom for the Three Realms. The Gods of Olympus are also struggling with adjusting to the recent developments and the emerging agendas of others. Proving the greek myth-based Webtoon a perfect translation of the Gods antics for betrayal and drama. On top of that, the Underworld also faces its own destruction something Hades may not be able to handle by himself. Smythe's creative visual perfectly sets the tone for Lore Olympus's return and why the Webtoon deserves all of its accolades.
