League of Legends has added new PBE previews for many characters, showing off skins that include a Solar and Lunar eclipse line for Aatrox & Senna (with a Prestige edition), as well as Kayle, Sejuani, and Sivir. Other skins are being added as well, including Gangplank the Betrayer and Sea Dog Yasuo, inspired by their appearances in Ruined King: A League of Legends Story. Currently, these skins are exclusive to PBE, but fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of new Lunar and Solar skins for quite some time now, and it shouldn't be too long before they can get their hands on them.

This line of skins was initially leaked back in 2021, with a trickle of new information leading up to its official reveal today. Five champions will have dedicated Eclipse skins, while Senna is also going to be getting a new Prestige skin. This means the champion will be getting two splash arts as well as a high-fashion prestige skin available for purchase in the League of Legends Prestige shop. Currently, the only other champion with an Eclipse skin is Leona, who has both a Solar and Lunar Eclipse variants of the line.

As reported by Surrender@20, all champions will receive a splash art alongside these skins. The full list of Eclipse skins includes Solar Eclipse Sivir, Solar Eclipse Sejuani, Solar Eclipse Kayle, Lunar Eclipse Aatrox, Lunar Eclipse Senna, and Lunar Eclipse Senna Prestige Edition. This release will mark the second time Senna is getting a Prestige skin. Sivir's Solar Eclipse skin is her first Legendary skin, which means that this skin will cost 1820 RP. On the other hand, the rest of the skins will be Epic skins and will be sold for 1350 RP on release. The other two skins, Gangplank the Betrayer and Sea Dog Yasuo will be released as Epic skins, costing 1350 RP as well. The skins are expected to release on April 27th, 2022, the same day that League of Legends Patch 12.8 releases.

As far as the release goes, there are rumors that along with the release of these skins, a special one-month-long mini-event is going to take place to commemorate the release. In other words, from April 28th-May 28th, an Eclipse event will be taking place for players to participate in. This would likely come with challenges and opportunities for League of Legends players to earn rewards.

It goes without saying that fans should look forward to the event. As for the skins, they look very unique and will add new diversity to the expansive cast of characters. Along with the Eclipse skins, players should keep an eye out for the new Gangplank skin, which is based on his appearance in The Ruined King. These new additions will undoubtedly please many League of Legends fans and goes to show how much love and care Riot puts into crafting its characters.
