Warning: This article contains major spoilers from Loki episode 1 and 2.

After only a couple of weeks on air, it's clear that the new Disney+ show Loki is a big hit. Drawing on the fandom the first three phases of the MCU created, the show focuses on the God of Mischief and his efforts to help (or hinder) the Time Variance Authority in finding a variant causing trouble by jumping in and out of the sacred timeline.

Loki is full of interesting and diverse characters. Tom Hiddleston plays the titular role and his banter with Agent Mobius (Owen Wilson) is hilarious, but other characters have resonated with viewers as well. There's even a debate on who the variant could be. However, these are just a few characters that have stood out the most so far.

Hunter C-20

At the start of episode two, Hunter C-20 (Sasha Lane) and her team of Minutemen track down the variant to a Renaissance fair in Wisconsin in 1985. The variant quickly overpowers her and possesses her body. As Hunter C-20, Loki also takes out the rest of the Minutemen and takes the real C-20 hostage as she travels through time.

With limited screen time so far, fans don't know Hunter C-20's full backstory yet. That being said, her hand-to-hand combat scenes at the fair were impressive. Hopefully, the show gives her more time to show viewers more of her personality as the female characters in Loki have been great so far.

Hunter B-15

Another great character is Hunter B-15, who is one of the minutemen tasked with protecting the sacred timeline. She travels through time with her team, hunting down variants before they can cause nexus events that could possibly descend into the disorder of human history. She's a tough, strong female character who prides herself on keeping order intact.

She doesn't go for Loki's mind games and even protects Agent Mobius from falling for the God Of Mischief's tricks. After Loki outsmarts her in the first episode, she knows to keep him on a short leash and not believe anything he says. Her no-nonsense demeanor and pride in her job make her a likable hero.

Variant Loki

Loki Episode 2 Lady Loki Reveal

With Loki in its early stages, it's hard to know exactly who will make an appearance on the show. Fans love to root for a villain and the variant version of Loki is exactly that. The hooded figure has already lit fires, killed people, and created mass panic during a hurricane. However, the character's ability to descend time and camouflage themselves makes them an interesting character.

In the second episode, viewers learn that the variant Loki is actually female. In the chaos, she escapes the hurricane and current Loki follows her. The God of Mischief is full of trickery and there's no telling how these two characters will collide in the end.

Miss Minutes

To explain the sacred timeline and potential multiverses, the Time Variance Authority (TVA) uses a cute cartoon character named Miss Minutes (Tara Strong). In the first episode, she explained how the whole thing works, with the Time-Keepers controlling the sacred timeline and making sure variants are not causing nexus events that mess up history.

Miss Minutes returns in episode two, this time bugging Loki as he looks over events the variants have caused. It's not clear whether or not she is a recording or a live character (she doesn't answer) but it's difficult not to be drawn in to her non-threatening, adorable voice.

Casey

Casey (Eugene Cordero) is the silly receptionist Loki encounters when he first arrives at the TVA. His naïve and feeble nature is pretty funny to watch and the writers gave him some great lines, like "I want to know exactly what I'm being threatened with before I comply." Even the toughest Loki cynics have to laugh he claims not know what a fish is.

In the second episode, Loki steals Casey's drink to help him explain a metaphor to Agent Mobius. His reactions to Loki's antics are the best.

Ravonna Renslayer

Ravonna Renslayer (Gugu Mbatha-Raw) is the TVA judge who is heading up the investigation into The Variant. As Agent Mobius's boss and friend, she gives him enough leeway to do his job properly but has no problem getting involved if he goes off the book. She is also accountable to the Time Keepers and wants to prevent Loki from meeting them.

Mbatha-Raw plays the character with perfect doses of warmth and sincerity. She is strong but not forceful and kind but not naive. Her scenes with Mobius are intense and deep, and it seems like the audience will find out more about their history as the show goes on. Ravonna Renslayer is definitely one of the most likable characters on the show so far.

Agent Mobius

Owen Wilson is the ideal actor to play Agent Mobius E. Mobius. He's a TVA agent who takes his job seriously but also goes about life with a healthy sense of humor and subtle disdain for his work. The chemistry between Wilson's character and Tom Hiddleson's Loki is classic and the two play off each other as frienemies to maximum hilarity.

Agent Mobius is a likeable character because he's always trying to do the right thing to keep the sacred timeline in check. But he also has to show empathy to Loki, who he needs on his side in order to track down the evil variant. Wilson gets some of the best lines in the series too. When Loki threatens to burn down the TVA, Mobius replies, "I'll show you where my desk is. You can start there."

MCU fans already know and love Loki, once again portrayed by the talented Tom Hiddleson. The first episode of Loki was the most-watched Disney+ premiere ever, and there's a good reason why. Whether it's from the comic books, trading cards, or the Avengers film franchise, viewers already know the God Of Mischief and enjoy watching the tricks he plays.

The surprising part of Loki is how well it incorporates all of these unique characters and gives them great dialogue to work with. From Agent Mobius and Loki's budding bromance to Loki and Casey's funny back-and-forth, viewers love Loki as a character and can't wait to see what hijinks he gets up to next.
