Warning: SPOILERS for Loki episode 4.

A young version of Sylvie appears in Loki episode 4 and she's played by Cailey Fleming. After a brief adventure to Lamentis-1, Loki and Sylvie returned to the TVA in episode 4 where Loki revealed the organization's darkest secret to Mobius, that everyone there, including him, were variants. It's a mystery Sylvie solved on her own after escaping the TVA as a child and being on the run from them throughout her life.

For the first few episodes, Loki kept audiences in the dark about why Sylvie wanted to take down the TVA and the Time-Keepers, as well as how long she spent executing this objective. Sadly, episode 4 revealed it was because she was taken from Asgard as a child for an unknown nexus event, and the TVA planned to prune her to preserve the Sacred Timeline. Luckily for her, she quickly escaped, but then spent the next several years hopping across the timeline until she found her home in the many apocalypses.

So far, viewers have seen two versions of Sylvie - Sophia Di Martino's adult version and Cailey Fleming's young one - though there plenty of Lokis roaming around the MCU. While she's a young actress, millions of people may recognize Fleming from two roles: young Rey in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and an older Judith Grimes from The Walking Dead seasons 9 and 10. She's also appeared in shows such as Preacher and Better Things, as well as movies Peppermint and The Book of Love.

Given Fleming's age as an early teenager, presumably, young Sylvie was 13 or 14 years old during the flashback scene in "The Nexus Event". If so, that would mean Sylvie had been on the run for around 20 years - using Earth time, that is. Asgardians and Frost Giants age differently than humans and time works differently on other planets, so it's unclear exactly how long Sylvie had been avoiding TVA agents. But it must've been long enough for Ravonna Renslayer to be promoted from an agent to judge, with perhaps some time being spent as an analyst.

Despite Loki episode 4 revealing key details about Sylvie's past and why she has been fighting the TVA, there's still so much that's unknown about what happened between her first contact with Ravonna and her second one in which she captured the judge - where she went, whom she met, and how she uncovered the agency's secrets. Hopefully, more is revealed in the final two episodes of Loki, or perhaps in another property or medium if Sylvie returns after the season concludes.
