Marvel Studios released the official Loki trailer, which provides a better look at Tom Hiddleston's Disney+ series. Hiddleston's Loki has been a fan favorite since his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in Thor, but most thought his time was finally done after Avengers: Infinity War. The God of Mischief died again, this time at the hands of Thanos, and the Mad Titan even said "no resurrections this time." However, Avengers: Endgame unintentionally provided the setup for Loki to return in a very different capacity.

The Loki Disney+ show will see Hiddleston play a version of Loki from an alternate universe where he used the Tesseract to evade the Avengers' capture in 2012. However, the series will not let Thor's adopted brother roam free throughout the multiverse. The Loki teaser trailer revealed him working with the Time Variance Authority to presumably stop a larger threat. Some hijinks will still be included as Loki poses as D.B. Cooper, takes on the President Loki look from the comics, and possibly interacts with alternate versions of himself.

After sharing the first trailer during Disney's Investor Day in late 2020, Disney and Marvel Studios have now debuted a new Loki trailer. It focuses on the TVA's recruitment of Loki to fix the timelines he broke from Avengers: Endgame. The first episode of Loki will debut on June 11, 2021.

One of the highlights of the trailer, and likely of Loki itself, is the banter between Hiddleston's trickster and Owen Wilson's character Mobius M. Mobius. They'll work together to try and fix the timeline that Loki broke. But, Mobius knows better than to trust Loki after watching him stab people in the back multiple times. This likely won't keep Mobius in the clear of Loki's betrayal, though, as Loki is repeatedly shown on his own and away from the TVA's control.

The new Loki trailer also provides a better look at the story and cast. It's clear from this footage that their adventure together will visit many worlds and timelines, including one that appears to show Loki ruling Asgard. Gugu Mbatha-Raw's unnamed TVA Judge character is shown more here than in the original teaser trailer. It also confirms a previously rumored casting, with Sasha Lane spotted in TVA body armor at the 1:45 mark of the trailer. The biggest character that Loki is believed to still be hiding, though, is the presence of Lady Loki. If she is the hooded figure shown throughout the marketing, it could set up Loki to be a cat and mouse game between two versions of the god of mischief.
