Tom Hiddleston's MCU co-stars revealed that they weren't invited to his much-talked-about "Loki Lectures." Loki is Hiddleston's first solo outing in the franchise after playing the supervillain for 10 years and six movies. It brings the God of Mischief front and center in Marvel's multiverse as his alternate version is captured and forced to fix the chaos he created when he escaped into another branch of time. The six-part series premiered on Wednesday on Disney+.

Loki is the third Marvel series to stream on the platform following Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany's WandaVision and Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan's The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. These Disney+ series serve to further the characters' storylines as well as provide a bridge between the Marvel films. However, for those who are not as invested in the MCU, having all these superheroes and stories can get quite confusing. Hiddleston reportedly hosted a long lecture on the set of Loki for crew members who needed a refresher.

The stars of Loki, WandaVision, and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier recently had a virtual reunion with Variety to talk about their standalone series ahead of Loki's big premiere. According to Mackie, they were all in the same studios filming when Hiddleston's symposium happened. The actor said they badly wanted to join but they didn't get an invite. The newly minted Captain America teased his co-star about his now-famous Loki Lectures, which was rumored to last for six whole hours.

Everybody was talking about it. Tom Hiddleston gave a six-hour symposium on Loki, and we were not invited! Sebastian and I, they made us work. They scheduled one of our biggest scenes so we could not sneak out and crash the Tom Hiddleston symposium.”

Olsen and Bettany chimed in and joked that they, too, missed the opportunity to hear Hiddleston's big presentation. While Hiddleston insisted that his talk only ran for two hours, he embarrassingly confirmed that it did involve a whiteboard presentation and a question-and-answer forum at the end. In jest, he offered to send the Cliffsnotes to his MCU co-stars for their entertainment. Hiddleston went on to explain why he felt he needed to give a Loki 101. Because Loki was a show about the antihero's identity, they had to really dive into his character from the way he dressed to the way he carried his knives.

Having played Loki for a decade, Hiddleston is fully invested in the role that catapulted him into international fame. Similarly, WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier gave their lead actors the chance to take the spotlight after having played supporting roles in previous Avengers movies. Because the MCU has introduced a plethora of superheroes whose storylines are intricately interwoven, these series are crucial in providing insight into the characters and expounding some unexplained events in the movies.

Loki, in particular, is a highly complex character who definitely needs his standalone project that will delve into his psyche. Since Loki's pilot dropped on Wednesday, there's been an endless stream of fan theories and analyses about the mischief-maker. While viewers aren't privy to what Hiddleston shared in his Loki Lectures, they can surely gather more information in the coming episodes.
