The latest poster for Marvel's upcoming Disney+ series Loki touts Tom Hiddleston's latest MCU return and features, strangely, a cartoon clock. With the start of Phase 4 delayed last year by the coronavirus pandemic, the most recent MCU projects have all been on streaming. With WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier wrapping up their times in the spotlight, all attention is now turning to Loki. Hiddleston's fan favorite villain-turned-antihero will star in his very own project for the first time ever, picking up in the aftermath of Loki's escape with the Tesseract in Avengers: Endgame.

As Loki wasn't supposed to do that, his show will see him run afoul of the Time Variance Authority, or those tasked with keeping the multiverse in order. Loki must team up with TVA agent Mobius M. Mobius (Owen Wilson) to fix what he broke, or else face being erased from reality. Loki also stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, Sophia Di Martino, and Richard E. Grant. It was initially supposed to premiere on June 11, but Disney+ surprised fans last week with the news Loki will roll out on Wednesdays instead.

Now armed with a June 9 premiere, Loki is officially four weeks away from its debut. To kick off the countdown, Marvel unveiled a brand new poster for the series Wednesday morning. It shows Hiddleston (two versions of him!) alongside cast members Mosaku, Mbataha-Raw, and Wilson, all of whom belong to the TVA. The strangest element, though, has to be that animated clock. Check it out below.

Time is certainly a big part of Loki even beyond his new job with the TVA. Various Loki trailers have teased trips to his past, whether it be through viewing Loki's defeat in The Avengers or revisiting his time on Asgard from the first Thor. The cartoon clock, as different as it seems, actually holds some relevance too. Previously revealed merchandise for Loki revealed the clock to be Miss Minutes, the TVA's mascot. By including her on the poster, it looks like Loki's new ties with the TVA will run pretty deep. He's a true company man here. Additionally, the general look of Miss Minutes only seems to hammer home just how strange Loki is turning out to be.

That, of course, is a good thing. The MCU has been around for over 10 years now, which means it should feel comfortable taking some risks. Though The Falcon and the Winter Soldier largely played out more like a typical Marvel flick, WandaVision earned praise for embracing its own weirdness. Loki can do much of the same, and indeed, its trailers have promised a trippy adventure is ahead. At this point, there are more questions than answers about Loki, so it's a good thing it is only four weeks away from its premiere.
