Marvel Cinematic Universe directing duo the Russo Brothers share their hilarious response to Loki de-powering the iconic Infinity Stones. Created by Rick and Morty alum Michael Waldron, the Disney+ series saw the titular god of mischief teaming up with the Time Variance Authority to solve a string of agents being murdered while also trying to determine the secrets behind the organization. Tom Hiddleston led the cast as Loki alongside Sophia Di Martino, Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, Tara Strong, Richard E. Grant, Sasha Lane and Jonathan Majors.

Premiering in June as part of Phase 4 of the MCU, Loki became a smash hit for Disney+, scoring rave reviews from critics and audiences alike and becoming the most-watched series premiere and season finale for the platform. Marvel Studios was already banking on the series' success with a second season entering development prior to the season 1 finale, which officially announced the renewal. Despite having concluded in July, audiences are still frequently discussing many of the iconic moments from Loki, including its handling of the Infinity Stones and their new place in the future of the franchise.

A few months after the series came to a close, the Russo Brothers have paired with ComicBook.com's Chris Killian for a duet TikTok for Loki. The hilarious video sees the three reacting to the MCU show's powering down of the Infinity Stones after their large importance in the franchise for over a decade. Check out the funny video below:

The revelation of the Infinity Stones' unimportance in the TVA in Loki came as both a humorous and shocking moment for both fans and its titular character after years spent marveling at their power and the danger they can bring to the world. The first three phases of the MCU even became collectively known as The Infinity Saga due to the films all building up to the mammoth crossovers Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame in which the group of heroes first worked to prevent Thanos from obtaining said stones then working to reverse his devastating actions after acquiring them. The Russo Brothers' duet video with Killian is a very funny ode to their time in the MCU as half of their tenure was spent on the latter two Avengers films and bringing the Infinity Saga to a close.

Since the joking Infinity Stones reference in the Loki series premiere, fans have still taken to defending their importance in the MCU moving forward given the TVA will not be the central hub for all future stories. That being said, most continue to praise the moment as a way for Hiddleston's Loki to grow and find a new meaning in his life, which would lead to season 1's jaw-dropping cliffhanger ending. With filming not expected to begin for another year or two, season 2 won't offer answers anytime soon, but fans can still revisit Loki season 1 on Disney+ to prepare for the next multiverse shenanigans with Spider-Man: No Way Home in December and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness in March.
