Tom Hiddleston teased Loki episode 4, saying that it takes the Marvel show in an entirely new direction. With the MCU's latest Disney+ series hitting the halfway mark today, time is running out for Loki. The first two episodes saw the God of Mischief acclimating to his new role at the Time Variance Authority, chasing after a Loki Variant hellbent on disrupting the Sacred Timeline. By the end of Loki episode 3, though, things have taken a turn.

Loki has finally run into the TVA's Variant, real name Sylvie, and they have traveled to the moon Lamentis-1. This isn't a safe haven, though, as Lamentis-1 is on the brink of destruction and Loki and Sylvie are quickly running out of options. The end of episode 3 sees Loki and Sylvie's way out destroyed by a meteor and the show ends up cutting to black before revealing how the pair will get out of this predicament.  The episode also gave absolutely no clues as to where the show could go next and judging from Loki's trailers alone, the possibilities are truly endless.

Tom Hiddleston teased as much in an interview with BBC Radio's Ali Plumb. The actor says that the series will go in a completely new direction in episode 4, a journey that will come to a head in episode 5. In fact, the actor could barely contain his excitement when saying that episodes 4 and 5 are going to be a truly wild ride, with Hiddleston insisting viewers "buckle up" for the events to come.

The series takes off in a new direction in episode 4. And then the destination of that journey kind of comes to fruition in episode 5. So, 4 and 5, I mean, buckle up, cause we’re going somewhere. I hope you don’t see it coming.

Loki Episode 3 Loki And Sylvia Talking Vertical

On a series like Loki, with the Time Variance Authority involved, Hiddleston's comments could truly mean anything. No one could've predicted the location of episode 3 and it's safe to say that just as much mystery surrounds episodes 4 and 5. It's clear that Loki will return to the Time Variance Authority at some point in his journey, possibly to confront the Timekeepers. Now that Sylvie has revealed that the TVA is not what it seems, the God of Mischief surely has a lot of questions.

Whether or not those questions will be answered is another mystery entirely. It's clear Loki will have a major effect on the MCU in the future and a lot of that might have to do with the Sacred Timeline. How this all resolves is anyone's guess, but Hiddleston's comments certainly point to a thrilling conclusion in the coming weeks. With only three episodes left, Loki has a lot to cram in, but if anyone can do it, it's the God of Mischief himself.
