Loki actress Cailey Fleming, who played a young Sylvie in one episode, would love to return in season 2. While Marvel's first two Disney+ efforts are so far sticking to limited runs, Loki will be the first live-action series to receive a second season. Starring Tom Hiddleston, Loki premiered in early June and quickly became the show of the summer. It was the first series to ever focus entirely on Hiddleston's fan favorite God of Mischief, and throughout its first 6 episodes, it definitely gave Loki plenty of attention. In fact, there were even multiple versions of Loki involved in the story.

The most prominent Loki variant on the show is Sylvie, a female version of the trickster who was abducted from her timeline when she was just a girl. Played by Sophia Di Martino, Sylvie spent all of Loki season 1 determined to bring down the Time Variance Authority; it was a goal she achieved in the finale. She was responsible for unleashing the multiverse upon the MCU, the consequences of which will be explored in upcoming franchise installments like Spider-Man: No Way Home and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Loki season 1, episode 4 touched upon Sylvie's backstory through flashbacks, with Fleming stepping in for Di Martino. In a recent interview with Insider, the young actress (who is also known for playing Judith on The Walking Dead) shared her hopes for returning to Loki or the broader MCU in the future. Fleming was asked what she wants to do after TWD concludes, and she said, "I would love to do something with dance in it or obviously something else in the MCU, maybe a new character or keep playing Young Sylvie [in 'Loki']." Fleming then added:

When I first got the role, I was very, very excited because me and my brother are the biggest Marvel fans. I'm obsessed with the Marvel universe.

I was just very, very excited, especially getting to play Young Sylvie. She's such a fierce and powerful character. I'm really glad that I got to do that and I would definitely love to do something else in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the future.

Cailey Fleming as Young Sylvie in Loki

The Loki flashbacks revealed that Sylvie was plucked from her home on Asgard by the Time Variance Authority. That only happens when someone has triggered a nexus event, though just what hers was remains unclear. Because of that, Loki could easily bring Fleming back to reveal more of Sylvie's backstory. Only a tiny snippet was shared in episode 4, meaning there is still a lot of ground left to cover. As Fleming said, Sylvie is a fierce character, and it would be interesting to see more of what made her the person fans saw on Loki.

Regardless of Fleming's status in the MCU, fans will be seeing more of Sylvie in the future. In addition to Loki season 2, Sylvie will reportedly return in Doctor Strange 2 alongside Owen Wilson's Mobius. Considering where the Disney+ show left her, there's a lot of curiosity surrounding what she'll be doing next. Di Martino and Fleming have both brought Sylvie to life brilliantly, and with more time, she could become one of the biggest characters in the MCU. Only time will tell.
