Sasha Lane, who played Hunter C-20 in season 1 of the God of Mischief's eponymous show, addresses whether she will appear in Marvel Studios' Loki season 2 on Disney+. Loki season 1 premiered last June and ran for six episodes, with each one dropping week after week. The season as a whole garnered a mostly positive response from audiences, with fans still giving their theories about the finale's events today.

Lane's character, Hunter C-20, was an agent of the Time Variance Authority (TVA for short), an organization that exists outside of time, dedicated to preserving the Sacred Timeline and preventing the breakout of the multiverse. However, during the events of Loki season 1, Sylvie (a Loki variant played by Sophia Di Martino) showed C-20 the memories of the life she didn't know she had before she became a TVA agent. This sent C-20 into a state of shock. She was last seen in the footage of her trial as she attempted to rat out the TVA for mind-wiping variants before Judge Ravonna Renslayer (Gugu Mbatha-Raw) put a stop to the footage. Renslayer later tells Agent Mobius (Owen Wilson) that C-20 had "lost her mind" before she died although audiences took that with a grain of salt.

In an interview with Collider, Lane professed that she asked Loki's producer about a possible return for her character. She described that C-20 could be "hiding behind a rock somewhere," waiting for the opportune moment to meet up with the main characters again. Read her full quote below:

“I remember telling the producer, because they’re like, ‘Oh, we’ll see,’ and I was like, ‘If I happen to make it back, can I just be hiding behind a little rock somewhere? Just squatted behind a rock just like, ‘Hey! Missed you guys. It’s been a while.’ I’m desperately hoping to be hiding behind a rock somewhere because you don’t know where I went! You don’t know. So, to me, I’m not dead, so I’m just trying to project it out there that there’s a rock that I’m sitting behind just, ‘Is anybody gonna stop by soon?’”

Loki Episode 2 C-20 Captured

There have been reports that Loki season 2 will begin its production as early as next month, with writer Michael Waldron teasing that it will "hopefully subvert expectations." As it is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's ever-expanding lineup of titles on the way, fans have been raising questions about the general direction in which the MCU is going. So far, Loki season 1 is seen as the most impactful entry in Marvel's Phase Four with the unleashing of the multiverse in its finale.

Given that quite a few of the MCU's Phase Four entries have delved into the multiverse (LokiWhat If...?Doctor Strange 2), it appears that something big is in store for the franchise. Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors) is confirmed to make appearances in later titles (including Ant-Man 3), leading fans to believe that a Secret Wars-like event may be in the works. If Hunter C-20 were to show up in Loki season 2, it would add even more mystery to this already intriguing Marvel cinematic story arc.
