Hunter K-5E, and Tara Strong as Miss Minutes. Fresh off a monumental win at 2023's Academy Awards ceremony, Ke Huy Quan also joined the cast of Loki season 2 as Ouroboros, the TVA's chief engineer.

Ke Huy Quan is joined by several other new additions, as Kate Dickie and Liz Carr additionally appear in Loki season 2, in the roles of General Dox and Judge Gamble respectively - two high-ranking TVA officials, who provide further obstacles for the protagonists of the show. Rafael Casal and Neil Ellice also appear as Hunter X-5 and Hunter D-90, two lower-ranking TVA operatives. By killing He Who Remains, Sylvie unleashed the multiverse, allowing an innumerable amount of branching timelines to form, meaning Loki season 2 could span many different time periods and alternate realities. The Loki season 2 synopsis states that "'Loki' Season 2 picks up in the aftermath of the shocking season finale when Loki finds himself in a battle for the soul of the Time Variance Authority. Along with Mobius, Hunter B-15 and a team of new and returning characters, Loki navigates an ever-expanding and increasingly dangerous multiverse in search of Sylvie, Judge Renslayer, Miss Minutes and the truth of what it means to possess free will and glorious purpose." Loki season 2 holds good to this description, as the titular character attempts to deal with the increasingly complicated setup of an ever-expanding multiverse, and questions his own motivations for taking on such a vital and arguably heroic task.

Audiences were gifted their first look at Loki season 2 as part of 2023's Disney+ trailer, promoting Disney's own streaming service. However, this trailer only gave viewers a brief glimpse at what might unfold in the upcoming series, not revealing much past Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson's returns as Loki and Mobius. At 2022's D23 Expo, audiences were gifted a look at the first full trailer for Loki season 2, which was released later on for the general public.

Loki's He Who Remains Is The Multiverse Saga's New Thanos

he who remains in loki season 1

He Who Remains was revealed as the man behind the TVA in Loki season 1, and as a variant of Kang the Conqueror. In Marvel Comics, Kang is a time-traveling villain and a thorn in the side of Earth's Mightiest Heroes, often putting the fate of the world at risk. The MCU's Kang the Conqueror and his variants have been shown off in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and since the title of the MCU's next major crossover event is Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, it's expected that Kang is the Multiverse Saga's new Thanos - which all started in season 1, making Loki season 2's exploration of Kang variants even more important.
