New Loki season 2 set photos see Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson dressed and ready for work with the Time Variance Authority. Disney+’s Loki follows a variant version of the God of Mischief who stole the Tesseract during the events of Avengers: Endgame. Season 1 saw Hiddleston’s character arrested by the Time Variance Authority (TVA), a seemingly bureaucratic organization tasked with dictating the “proper” follow of time. Rather than be pruned, Loki is recruited by Agent Mobius M. Mobius (Wilson) to help catch a Goddess of Mischief, Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino). Along the way, though, he discovers the TVA’s true purpose and inadvertently liberates the multiverse.

After Sylvie plunged her dagger into the TVA’s mastermind He Who Remains (Jonathan Majors)—a variant of the comic book character Kang the Conqueror—the post-credits scene in Loki’s finale confirmed the series would be back for a second season. Hiddleston, Wilson, Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku’s Hunter B-15, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw’s Ravonna Renslayer are all expected to return for six more episodes. Moon Knight’s Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead will take over directorial duties from Kate Herron with Eric Martin replacing Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness scribe Michael Waldron as head writer. Loki season 2 began filming last month in the UK, and photos from the set continue to make their way online.

Per The Daily Mail, Hiddleston and Wilson were spotted at The Historic Dockyard Chatham in Kent recently to film Loki season 2. The images show the pair sporting the now-iconic shirt and tie associated with the TVA—which both their characters were wearing at the end of Loki season 1. Check it out in the link below:

Based on set photos that have leaked, it appears Loki and Mobius are back together in season 2. The series’ first season ended with Loki staring at a statue of Kang and Mobius having no memory of him, which left viewers wondering whether he was in a different TVA or timeline within the multiverse. As the TVA is said to exist outside of space and time, it’s likely Kang was unleashed (per He Who Remains’ prediction), conquered the TVA, and wiped the minds of its staff. Picking up where season 1 left off, Loki will either endear himself to Mobius once again or find a way to restore his memories in season 2.

At the very least, the Loki set photos confirm they will be working alongside each other once again. Whether their partnership will be filled with trust or born out of necessity remains to be seen, but the fan favorite duo won't be separated for very long. The latest set images hint at Loki and Mobius embarking on a new TVA mission, but it could also be that the scene will pick up from where the season 1 finale left off. The only thing working against that theory is Hiddleston's own appearance as Loki, as he doesn't look quite as disheveled as he did in the last episode. Right now, it isn't clear when Loki season 2 will premiere on Disney+, but it likely won't be until next year. If fans are lucky, the TVA’s shirt and tie will be seen again as early as spring of 2023.
