The cast of Loki season 2 continues to grow as actor Eugene Cordero has confirmed his return. Cordero starred in season 1 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe series as Casey, a receptionist working at the Time Variance Authority who helps Loki learn of the unimportance of Infinity Stones at the TVA. Alongside Cordero, the ensemble cast for Loki season 1 included Tom Hiddleston as the titular god of mischief, Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku, Sasha Lane, Jack Veal, DeObia Oparei, Richard E. Grant, Tara Strong and Jonathan Majors.

Loki season 1 proved to be a game-changer for Marvel Studios and Disney+, setting multiple records upon its premiere, scoring rave reviews from critics and audiences alike and scoring a season 2 renewal. The season 1 finale also kicked off the MCU's dive into the multiverse as the death of Jonathan Majors' He Who Remains led to the dissolution of the sacred timeline and bled into Spider-Man: No Way Home and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' stories. With Marvel recently confirming most of the original cast are returning for Loki season 2, one star is confirming he won't be left out of the fun.

While speaking exclusively with Screen Rant to discuss becoming the first face of Simply Beverages, Eugene Cordero opened up about his MCU return. The Loki Casey actor confirmed he would be returning for season 2, though explained he couldn't offer any teases of what's to come as he himself is still figuring it out. See what Cordero shared below:

"Yes, yes, you can [look forward to more Casey]. You know, I can't [tease anything], because I don't even know. There's so many passwords and passcodes that I have to fill out just to even look at the pages that I'm on, and the way that it works is things constantly change in a great way. There's so many moving parts in that universe that things keep changing, so I can't really nail it down, but I'm excited. I'm excited to do more and I don't know to what capacity I'll be able to be a part of it, but I'm excited to do it. So yeah, get ready, it'll be fun, I hope? No, it will be, it'll be great. [Chuckles]"

Loki Episode 1 Loki and Casey

Though Kevin Feige confirmed last month that Loki season 2 would begin filming in June with the entire cast returning, it wasn't specified what extent of the cast would be coming back. Hunter C-20 actress Sasha Lane addressed her possible return shortly after Feige's announcement, saying she had recently asked the producers about whether she would be coming back and indicating she didn't have an answer, keeping a head canon that she was still alive and hiding somewhere in the TVA amidst the season 1 finale chaos. With Cordero confirming his return for Loki season 2, it seems likely Lane will also be returning to the fold for the MCU show's return.

What will be interesting to see is whether Cordero will be playing both Casey and Hunter K-5E in Loki season 2 or if he will only portray one version of the character. Given the Loki season 1 finale saw the titular god of mischief land in a different version of the TVA in which statues of the Time-Keepers have been replaced by those of Majors' He Who Remains/Kang the Conqueror, it seems likely Cordero will play his alternate character as well as his original TVA receptionist, who became well-loved for his brief interactions with Loki in season 1. With filming on Loki season 2 getting ready to film, audiences can revisit season 1 available to stream on Disney+ now.
