Warning! Spoilers ahead for Marvel's Loki episode 6, "For All Time. Always."

In the final episode of Marvel's Loki, several quotes from the MCU can be heard in the opening sequence, coming from the Sacred Timeline as it flows around the Citadel at the End of Time. The decision follows Marvel's trend of changing the Marvel Studios logo, but in a different way that reflects the temporal concerns of Loki's final episode.

Not only does this special approach provide the full scope of time being witnessed and maintained by Jonathan Majors' He Who Remains, the true villain behind the TVA (and also a variant of Kang the Conqueror), but it's also an incredibly entertaining and nostalgic montage of the most iconic lines of dialogue across the entire MCU timeline. It offers a timely reminder that everything that Loki does in his own show could have major ramifications for the rest of the MCU, as well as reiterating exactly what would be lost if history was wiped out in favor of another timeline entirely. That last point is particularly loaded, given the ending.

Rather than the classic Marvel fanfare during the opening title card before the episode, Harry James and Kitty Kallen's song "It's Been A Long, Long Time" serves as the backdrop for all of these quotes, which include some real-world quotes. That song, of course, was the one Captain America and Peggy Carter danced to when he finally came home to his own time at the end of Avengers: Endgame. Likewise, after hearing the iconic sound of one of Iron Man's repulsors charging up before firing, an impressive amount of Marvel quotes can be heard. Here are all of the MCU quotes heard in Loki episode 6's opening sequence (in order).

Loki Episode 6 Loki and Sylvie With Swords

  • "I can do this all day"- Captain America (2012) to Captain America (2023) (Avengers: Endgame)
  • "Yeah, I know..."- Captain America (2023) to Captain America (2012) (Avengers: Endgame)
  • "I'll show you ferocity"- Hank Pym after punching Mitchell Carson in the face (Ant-Man)
  • "Higher, further, faster, baby"- Carol Danvers to her co-pilot Maria Rambeau (Captain Marvel)

  • "You will never be...a god"- Loki to Thanos before being killed by the Mad Titan (Avengers: Infinity War)
  • "That's my secret Cap...I'm always angry"- Bruce Banner before turning into the Hulk (Avengers)
  • "You sent my suit through the mail?"- Hank Pym to Scott Lang about the Ant-Man suit (Ant-Man & The Wasp)
  • "Time is the true enemy of us all."- Kaecilius speaking on his mission to Doctor Strange (Doctor Strange)
  • "Glorious Purpose!"- Richard E Grant's Classic Loki's last words (Loki, episode 5)
  • "What is grief if not love persevering?"- Vision speaking to Wanda about love (WandaVision, episode 8)
  • "Open your eyes!"- Sophia Di Martino's Sylvie to Loki after they enchanted Alioth (Loki, episode 5)

Due to the MCU quotes having a crescendo in the opening where several were piled on top of one another, there's bound to be several more present that were largely indistinguishable. However, the ones listed are certainly the majority. Additionally, there was also a handful of real-world quotes that can be heard in the mix as well:

  • "One small step for man..." - Astronaut Neil Armstrong taking his first steps on the moon
  • "How dare they?"- Greta Thunberg speaking to the United Nations
  • "My dream..."- Malala Yousafzai speaking on equality and education
  • "We have fought for the right to experience peace." -Nelson Mandela on fighting injustice in the name of peace
  • "I will rise!" - Maya Angelou reading from her poem And Still I Rise

All in all, having all of these quotes and soundbites featured truly shows the grand scope of the entire Sacred Timeline in all of its enormity. It makes the demeanor and nearly mad personality of He Who Remains very understandable, seeing as how he's been there to witness all of it from his Citadel at the End of Time. In any case, many Marvel fans will agree that this opening sequence was certainly one of the MCU's most dynamic, as it was basically a trip through some of the best moments of the entire MCU timeline itself. What better way to kick off the final episode of Loki's series, which has been all about time?
