Loki star, Sophia Di Martino, details Sylvie's emotional state at the start of Episode 4. Disney+ has now reached the midpoint of its third MCU-set series. The first two episodes acquainted viewers with the rich world of the Time Variance Authority and Owen Wilson’s Agent Mobius. After some buildup, the end of episode 2 revealed the evil Loki variant to be Sophia Di Martino’s Lady Loki, although popular theories suggest she may actually be Enchantress, or some combination of the two.

Episode 3, titled “Lamentis,” picks up after Loki escapes custody yet again in pursuit of his counterpart, who reveals her preferred alias to be Sylvie. The episode follows Tom Hiddleston’s God of Mischief and Di Martino’s Sylvie on its titular moon, which faces imminent destruction by way of another celestial body. The episode was a drastic change of pace for the series as it didn’t feature Mobius or much of the TVA at all, instead focusing on intimate character moments between the two Loki variants. However, the final scene finds the two stranded with their only means of escape destroyed.

As the third episode ends, Loki and Sylvie are seemingly stuck on Lamentis-1 without hope, but the Disney+ series has rarely actually been what it seems. In an interview with TVLine, Sylvie actress, Sophia Di Martino, revealed some details about her character's emotional state at the outset of the fourth episode. Read what she said below:

She’s just had enough. She’s spent. They really thought they were going to be able to get off Lamentis on that ark, and the TemPad’s broken. And now she’s like, 'This is [the end]. Maybe this is it.’ That’s where we start Episode 4.

Sylvie smiles confidently in Loki

While Loki and Sylvie’s fate is uncertain at the end of “Lamentis,” a mid-season sneak peek released by Marvel shows the two in the custody of the TVA, indicating they get off the ill-fated moon sooner rather than later. One popular theory suggests the two may have never even stepped foot on the moon in the first place, and the entire ordeal was an illusion conjured by one to trick the other. Considering Di Martino's quote above, Sylvie doesn’t appear to be behind any trickery.

With only three episodes left, there is still a lot to be revealed about Sylvie, as virtually all that is known about her is what the TVA believes to be true. Episode 3 revealed Sylvie’s powers and backstory are quite different from the God of Mischief, which only raised suspicions regarding her relation to Enchantress. This, and other mysteries, will unfurl in the remaining episodes of Loki.
