WARNING: This article contains major spoilers for Loki episode 6.

The Loki finale supposedly brought the Multiverse to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but syncing the ending with WandaVision reveals more to the story. In the Loki finale, Lady Loki (Sophia Di Martino) and Loki (Tom Hiddleston) make it to the Citadel at the End of Time, discovering He Who Remains (Jonathan Majors) controls the Time Variance Authority. He Who Remains is a Kang the Conqueror variant who created the TVA and the Sacred Timeline to stop a Multiversal War. At the Citadel at the End of Time, he even offers Lady Loki and Loki the chance to take over to keep the Sacred Timeline going and prevent the universe from falling into chaos. However, the TVA took Lady Loki's life away, so she kills He Who Remains instead, apparently unleashing the Multiverse on the MCU.

In the WandaVision finale, Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) becomes the Scarlet Witch. In a showdown against Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn), Wanda wins by secretly casting runes. Agatha's powers are stymied since only the witch who casts runes in a given space can use their magic. Wanda then embraces her role as the Scarlet Witch, draining Agatha's powers and trapping her in Westview. Wanda becomes more powerful than ever, and the series ends in a credits scene with Wanda apparently hearing the voices of her children, who supposedly disappeared along with her conjured sitcom world.

The Loki finale may add context to WandaVision. Fans and theorists have noticed (via YouTube) that certain moments in the finale episodes for Loki and WandaVision seemingly line up when played side by side. When He Who Remains talks about crossing a "threshold" near the 28-minute mark, Wanda seemingly embraces her powers as the Scarlet Witch. A sound of thunder may also line up, and He Who Remains drops something on his desk around the same time that Agatha Harkness hits the ground after being bested by Wanda. The moments may reveal there's more going on with the Multiverse than meets the eye.

Loki-Wanda-Wandavision-Nexus-Beings

WandaVision and Loki may directly affect each other. In the finale, He Who Remains says he knows everything that will happen up to a point, and that point may be Wanda embracing her powers as the Scarlet Witch. The Scarlet Witch may be a nexus being who's able to create branched timelines and tap into the Multiverse, bringing chaos to He Who Remains' perfect world. Since she likely can't be controlled, there's not much point in continuing to try to protect the Sacred Timeline. After Wanda becomes the final version of the Scarlet Witch in the finale, Agatha Harkness even says, "Oh God. You don't know what you've done." While it seems like Lady Loki unleashed the Multiverse on the MCU, Wanda may have beat her to the punch. The Scarlet Witch's connection to the Multiverse is likely why she can hear her kids' voices in the end.

The sync seems intentional. While it's possible the two Marvel Disney+ series line up by coincidence, it's not likely. WandaVision and Loki will supposedly both influence Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madnessso it'd make sense that they work in tandem. The sync may also further explain He Who Remains' motivation for letting Lady Loki kill him. Of course, he'll eventually be back to take the throne through reincarnation. Until then, let the God of Mischief deal with the chaos.
