Loki has been one of the most popular characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since Marvel first introduced fans to Thor's dark, broody brother. Even when he quickly revealed himself as a villain in Thor and even worked with the Black Order and Thanos in Avengers, fans refused to hate the God of Mischief.

In the last hours before the show premiered, many discussion boards were still wondering what exactly would happen. Of course, hoping that the original series Loki will wrap up some of the storylines the MCU began to explore and then abandoned.

Loki's Frost Giant Heritage

In the first Thor movie, after seeing no damage and his skin turn blue after being attacked by the Frost Giants on Jotunheim, Loki decides to investigate this further. When Thor is banished, he sneaks into the secure vault of Odin to see if he could wield the Casket of Ancient Winters.

After Loki found out he could, Odin reveals that he took him in after finding him in a church when he was a baby after he defeated and destroyed the bulk of the Frost Giants and their home. He reveals that Loki was the son of the Frost Giant King, Laufey, and was abandoned because of his tiny size and relative weakness.

This is an important part of Loki's shaping in that first movie, but aside from a side reference here or there, the storyline was abandoned for the bigger arc of the first three phases in the MCU. Fans are hoping to see more of this side of Loki explored before the limited series draws to a close.

How Much Frigga Knew

Loki talks to Frigga in the castle

Not only did Odin take Loki home with him, but he raised him as his own. Loki was not a fighter, and being closer to Frigga than Odin, he naturally seemed to be drawn to learn the ways of Asgardian Magic, which she was an expert in.

There is a distinct absence of Frigga's part in all of this, with it being unclear exactly how much Frigga knew about where Odin got Loki and if she knew his full ancestry. It is made clear throughout the Thor franchise that Loki and Frigga were incredibly close.

Still, there was no indication if Frigga knew everything or only that he was a child Odin found in the aftermath of one of his many attacks. Not only would the audience love for this storyline to be explored and wrapped up, but Loki and Frigga also deserve to have their full Mother-Son relationship told.

Loki And The Hulk

Loki and Hulk have a long and amusing history throughout the MCU. From their very one-sided encounter in Stark Tower at the end of Avengers to Loki invoking the famous "We have a Hulk" line at the beginning of Avengers: Infinity War, their relationship can be seen as a parallel to Loki's own journey from villain to unassuming hero.

The fans would love to see Loki bring Hulk and Loki back together to keep working out their differences and bring their relationship to some agreement.

Loki's Tesseract

Fans of the God would love it if Loki could go back and explain why exactly the God of Mischief did not understand exactly what he had in his possession during Avengers but knew exactly how to use it during Avengers: Endgame.

There also needs to be some explanation as to how Loki got the Tesseract from Odin's vault before the destruction of Asgard in Thor: The Dark World. All fans knew is that he did not use it to safely transport the Asgardians to a new home or remove them from the place where Thanos inevitably found them and began the events of Avengers: Infinity War.

Speaking Of Thanos

Thanos stops Loki's blade in Infinity War

Loki and Thanos have been intertwined in the MCU since Thanos gave Loki the location of not one but two Infinity Stones. But a question that fans have been wondering about is why did Thanos allow Loki to work for him, letting him get close to the tools he needed to fulfill his self-appointed purpose in life?

Though the audience has seen them work together to bring the Chitauri to Earth, they didn't see why Thanos would trust Loki and not one of his Black Order members or The Other. At the end of Thor, Loki fell into a wormhole after realizing that Odin saw him as selfish instead of selfless.

The next time audiences saw him, he was corrupting Dr. Erik Selvig with the scepter in a mid-credit scene. From there, his relationship with Thanos was complicated and unsuccessful, up until his death. With time-traveling on the table, the MCU could really pick up the thread of this abandoned storyline and allow it to play out fully.

Odin, Thor, And Loki

Loki speaks to Odin

Though it may not seem like it as Odin died, and Thor and Loki seemed to reconcile before his death, the storyline of the three Asgardians Gods was truncated and pushed to the side for the bigger storylines.

Fans would love it if, in the six-episode run, at some point, the relationship between the three men could be examined more. Odin died so quickly, and then Loki did as well that it all felt very quick and seemed like an abandoned storyline instead of one that was just wrapped up quickly.
