YouTuber Logan Paul has gotten worldwide criticism for his decision to face boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. in an amateur fight. However, some of his pro training partners have come out, warning Mayweather not to take him lightly.

Paul started his boxing career three years ago. Since then, he has notched two epic fights against fellow YouTuber KSI. With a meager 0-1-1 record against the social media star, many people scratched their heads when it was announced that Paul would be taking on none other than Floyd Mayweather Jr. Mayweather is arguably the greatest pound for pound boxer ever and holds a 50-0 record in the ring. He is also accustomed to taking on celebrity boxing matches. He previously knocked out Conor McGregor and Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa.

Recently, members of Logan Paul's training camp have voiced their opinions, rebutting doubters who don't believe the YouTube star has the right boxing skills. Welterweight boxing prospect Vlad Panin mimics Mayweather's movement for Paul. With regard to the upcoming fight, according to The Sun, he's stated, " I think he's pretty confident. Because of the size he has, he pretty much has every physical advantage bar speed, reflexes and experience. But he is younger, bigger and stronger and he's got deceptive speed. We've been sparring with 18oz gloves and he's still strong with even with the headgear." Pro cruiserweight and strength coach Angel Lozano has seconded Panin's statements. "He'll say a couple of times, 'I'm a YouTuber but I'm fighting the greatest fighter of all time. He knows what he's going against but his size and power will be to his advantage." Paul will certainly be looking to leverage that advantage when it's time to face Mayweather in the ring.

To put things in perspective, Logan Paul stands at 6 foot 2 inches with 220 pounds of weight, compared to Mayweather's 5 foot 8 and 170-pound frame. He also holds a 4-inch reach advantage over Mayweather. Given the size difference, it will be difficult for Mayweather to knock him out. Mayweather will probably look to maintain distance, relying on boxing ability rather than getting into a brawl with Paul. Unfortunately for the YouTuber, that is exactly the type of fighting that Mayweather has excelled in over the course of his career.

In light of Paul's reach advantage, Mayweather will probably focus on counterpunching outside, rather than engaging first as many saw in his McGregor fight. This could provide Logan Paul with some opportunities to put Mayweather on his back foot, and land while he has the chance. It's possible that this will be the exact gameplan that Logan Paul's coaches envision for him when going into a fight like this.
