New artwork of Omega Red turned up that shows what the character might look like should he ever appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's X-Men movies. In Marvel Comics, Omega Red is a villain known as Arkady Gregorovich Rossovich, who underwent KGB experiments to turn him into a super-soldier, with powers similar to those of Captain America. He has tentacles embedded in his arms made of a material a lot like adamantium. He is also most commonly associated with the X-Men.

Omega Red has not yet appeared on film, save for a scrapped scene in Deadpool 2. However, after Disney successfully purchased Fox movie and TV assets, it gained the film rights to the X-Men, meaning those characters are now available to appear in the MCU. Although Disney has not revealed anything official about its plans for the X-Men characters, the company will likely start utilizing that universe as it goes into its next phase, which is expected to begin with the release of Black Widow.

One thing the MCU could always use are a few new dastardly villains for upcoming movies, especially X-Men films. Omega Red could be such a villain, and he's certainly strong enough to provide a challenge for the next batch of mutant superheroes. God of War art director Raf Grassetti created artwork imagining what the villain might look like should Marvel and Disney decide to include him:

Disney has confirmed that when it brings the X-Men universe into the MCU, the previous Fox films will no longer be canon. Most, if not all, of the characters will get a reboot, except for Deadpool. Executive Vice President of Marvel Television Jeph Loeb recently admitted he wasn't precisely sure about what would happen with the X-Men, but he stated he was excited the film rights for all Marvel properties are now officially under one roof. This sentiment is also one shared by fans, who hope that many of the characters from the X-Men universe will get new life under the Disney umbrella.

With the future of the X-Men in the MCU looking better, it also means the villains from that universe finally have a shot at getting some screen time. With many considering Omega Red as one of the best Marvel villains of all time, an appearance in the MCU would undoubtedly get fans excited. Grassetti's artwork is also pretty much exactly what fans might want to see in Marvel X-Men movies.
