Litwick, the adorable Ghost- and Fire-type candle pocket monster, will have its own featured Pokémon GO Community Day on Saturday, October 15, 2022. This live event will take place from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm local time, meaning that Trainers do not have to worry about their regional time differences. Unlike minor Spotlight Hours, this Community Day offers a host of bonuses, including increased Wild Encounters with Litwick, 3× Catch XP, 3-Hour Lure Modules, 2× Catch Candy, and a 2× chance of receiving XL Candy from catching Pokémon.
Additionally, Litwick Community Day in Pokémon GO will allow Trainers to make two Special Trades as opposed to only one per day, and any Trades made will require 50% less Stardust. These bonuses will be available for the duration of the event. It should also be noted that even after the 3-hour span ends, Trainers can engage in Four-Star Raid Battles with Lampent, Litwick's evolved form. Completing one of these Raids will cause Litwick's Spawn Rate bonus to occur in a 300-meter radius around that Raid's Gym. This effect can be repeated from 5 pm to 10 pm on Saturday, October 15, 2022.
One of the first things that Trainers should do to prepare for Litwick Community Day is to stock up on Poké Balls, specifically Great Balls and Ultra Balls in Pokémon GO. It would be a shame for hundreds of Litwicks to spawn, but players do not have the Poké Balls required to catch them. Pinap Berries are another essential resource, especially for those looking to evolve Litwick using the Candy gained from this Community Day.
How To Prepare For Litwick Community Day In Pokémon GO
Ensuring that one's Pokémon Storage has enough room to hold an excess of Litwicks is also a crucial step in preparing for this Community Day in Pokémon GO. Accordingly, Trainers should consider going through their Storage and clearing out any unnecessary pocket monster duplicates they might have or ones that are not worth keeping, such as Alolan Raticate.
The YouTube channel The Trainer Club also highly recommends that Trainers consider the potential XP gains from Litwick Community Day in Pokémon GO. In other words, players should consider how they can take advantage of the 3× Catch XP bonus during the event's duration.
