Apple TV+ released the trailer for Little Voice, the upcoming musical drama series from JJ Abrams and Sara Bareilles. Starring Brittany O’ Grady (Star), Little Voice marks Bareilles' first television credit, following the musician’s success composing Broadway musical Waitress. The creative minds behind Little Voice include showrunner Jessie Nelson - who wrote the book for the Broadway adaptation of Waitress - and prolific producer Abrams.

Premiering on July 10, Little Voice will follow Bess King (O’ Grady), a young musician struggling to fulfill her dreams in New York City while caring for her brother and navigating life’s hurdles. Infused with original songs, Little Voice also stars Sean Teale (Gifted), Colton Ryan (Homeland), Shalini Bathina, Kevin Valdez, and Philip Johnson Richardson. Set in a half-hour format, the coming-of-age series is described as “...telling a story about finding your authentic voice - and the courage to use it.” Check out the emotional trailer for Little Voice below:

Launched late last year, Apple TV+ appears adamant about padding its catalog with original content for the summer season. In addition to Little Voice, the streaming service will launch Dads, a documentary from director Bryce Dallas Howard, Ted Lasso, a comedy series starring Jason Sudeikis, and Greyhound, a WWII naval drama film from Tom Hanks.

Packed with moments of tough decisions, familial love, and harmonious music, the full trailer for Little Voice teases the possible next big delight of the summer. Helmed by Abrams and Bareilles, Little Voice will release a new episode every Friday, following its premiere July 10, and may dole out a weekly dose of heartfelt storytelling and original songs.
