Little People, Big World's Matt Roloff has fans believing he is only interested in making a profit when it comes to the family farm instead of fixing his relationships with his family. Matt has always been known as the ideas man who would stop at nothing to achieve them. Now, after a falling out with his son, fans are hoping at least his money is keeping him warm on the lonely nights.

Sadly, Little People, Big World season 23 showed Matt in a bitter argument with his son, Zach Roloff. For years Zach has been working towards one day taking over the family farm as he performed under Matt's leadership from the moment they had the farm. However, when it came time to buy the farm, Matt rejected Zach's offer. The father of four claimed that his son tried to lowball him, while Zach shared that his dad made crazy demands that he couldn't afford. This is when the Little People, Big World fans started to feel that Matt was in it only for the money.

Little People, Big World fans can't help but shame Matt and his girlfriend, Caryn Chandler, for their greedy attitude this season. The backlash became so bad that TLC is allegedly thinking about letting the couple go from the family show. Viewers did not like how Matt took cues from Caryn during the family argument. Caryn should have kept her opinions to herself, but instead, she urged Matt to get the best deal possible rather than putting his family first.

Matt has often come off as sneaky, as he always found ways to get what he wanted, even at the expense of his family. A few years ago, Matt bought out Amy Roloff for her half of Roloff Farms after they divorced. During the latest season, viewers learned that he paid Amy $975,00 for the north side of the farm, which included the big house. During the negotiation with his father, Zach, who'll never have a relationship with Matt, was willing to offer more to his father, but Matt refused the number claiming the housing prices had gone up. The 60-year-old instead took his son's offer as an insult, proving to fans he didn't care about keeping the farm within the family.

Matt's next move shocked viewers when they saw that the Little People, Big World star had put his farm on the open market. The new asking price is now $4 million. The reaction from Zach now makes sense, as there was no way he could afford to buy the farm and take care of his wife and three children. As of October 2022, Matt has yet to sell Roloff Farms, but fans are not optimistic that he will change from mean and ungenerous to a loving and understanding father.
