On Twitter, comic book artist Valeria Favoccia (Stranger Things: The Bully) has been posting Linkin Park tribute comic art to commemorate the rock band as well as the 20th anniversary of the album Hybrid Theory. Her latest artwork pays homage to the second track on the album titled, "One Step Closer."

The band Linkin Park has been creating and performing music from the mid-90s that capture the relatable feelings of being lost, an outsider, depressed, and or anxious. Over time, the band's music has been growing in popularity and some songs are even in major blockbuster films such as the song, "What I've Done," that plays in the first live-action Transformers movie as well as the song, "Iridescent," which plays in Michael Bay's third transformers film Transformers: Dark of The Moon. With the band's beloved lead vocalist Chester Bennington being no longer alive sadly after taking his life on July 20th, 2017 and the band members not officially stating the Linkin Park's next move, it's difficult for one to know whether or not the band will continue to produce music in the future. Which is understandable as only time can heal the loss of a close friend. But to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the band's first album Hybrid Theory, artist Favoccia has been releasing tribute comic art and her newest reflects the music video for the song, "One Step Closer."

Similar to the coloring and lighting being used in the music video, Favoccia tints her artwork of the band members performing the song, "One Step Closer," with various shades of green. A green fog surrounds each member as well as a couple torches - mirroring the ritualistic imagery being expressed in the music video. Even the band member's appearances are reflective of the music video. In the comic art, the vocalist and rhythm guitarist Mike Shinoda is wearing his memorable green jacket and red dyed hair while Chester Bennington - who is also known for his role in the film Saw 3D is flipped upside-down the way he is in the music video when he begins to scream the lyrics, "shut up when I'm talking to you." The artwork also includes the realistically drawn lead guitarist Brad Delson, bass guitarist Kyle Christener, drummer Rob Bourdon, as well as DJ Joseph Hahn. But that is not the only comic art she has done of the band.

Last week, Favoccia posts comic art of what she claims to be, "her favorite song ever," which is the first track on the Hybrid Theory album titled, "Papercut." Like her artwork on the second track of the iconic album, her comic art of the song, "Papercut," mirrors the music video. But unlike her artwork of, "One Step Closer," she relies more on various shades of black, brown, and red. She even includes the dragonflies that burst from a revolting egg sac as well as the man who is painted navy blue and is frantically moving back and forth within a bathtub in the music video. To emphasize the word, "paranoid," Favoccia draws the band members as if they are rising out of the navy blue pained man's busy mind.

Based upon Favoccia's intricately as well as realistically drawn members of the band Linkin Park and their music, it's clear she's a dedicated fan. And although little is known about the band's future, fans can still listen to Mike Shinoda's new music that connects with how he's feeling in regard to the loss of his dear friend Chester Bennington.
