Lindsie Chrisley from Chrisley Knows Best revealed recently that her relationship with her estranged father Todd Chrisley hasn't improved. Despite the fact that Todd was hospitalized due to complications from contracting COVID-19, it wasn't enough to patch things up between them.
It was a rough past for the Chrisley family, in September of 2019, Todd and his wife, Julie Chrisley were indicted on 12-counts of fraud. Then things got more complicated as just before their hearing, Lindsie had filed a report that her father and brother, Chase Chrisley, with claims that they purchased a sex tape of her and threatened to release it unless she lied for them regarding the indictment. After accusing them of this, her father hit back with accusations that he tried to hide his estranged daughter's many extramarital affairs to certain The Bachelorette alumni. The accusations caused the family to split apart further.
Fans were hoping that Lindsie's troubled relationship would be healing over the last six months, it's become obvious that things are not getting better between them. Todd had been diagnosed with the coronavirus and had a long and exhausting 3-week-long battle with the sickness and even landed himself a 4-day long stay at the hospital. Todd updated his fans by explaining that he's no longer in the danger zone, is on the mend and at home. Things were looking up for the family and especially Lindsie and her father's relationship, as she had defended him online to online trolls. However, that doesn't seem to be the case. According to TMZ, Lindsie revealed that the COVID-19 scare didn't push the two to become and closer.
In fact, Todd's 30-year-old estranged daughter told the outlet that the rift is so deep that even though Todd could have died, she's not willing to patch things up. Lindsie revealed that she found out about Todd's diagnosis through social media. Even though he was in urgent care, she didn't see how this could change the shattered relationship. While she is glad that her estranged father is better, she feels that it's too far broken to fix.
It seems that no matter what will happen, Lindsie is too hurt to try to mend this broken relationship with her father. It remains to be seen if this will spark a conversation between them, as fans are hoping there will be some sort of restoration in this father-daughter relationship.
