His name and face appeared in the final moments of the pilot episode, so let's dive into the life of deceased Floor is Lava producer Tim Sullivan. Aside from being a devoted husband and father, Sullivan left an indelible mark on reality shows that many of us hold dear. Also worth noting is that Floor is Lava was in the Top 10 on Netflix soon after it debuted.

Timothy Sullivan was born February 23, 1977, making him a Pisces. People born under this star sign are said to be dreamers with a heavy creative streak. They often flock to jobs in fashion, art or film and television.

He graduated from Montclair High School in 1995. From there, Sullivan went on to study at the University of Vermont, where he graduated with a degree in English.

Sullivan moved to Los Angeles back in 2001. He got his start working at Disney and Magical Elves, where he contributed to Project Runway and Top Chef. This allowed him to springboard into developing new shows as an executive at Core Media, Good Bye Productions, Zodiak and Fullscreen. Later, he started his own production company called Gang of Wolves with his business partner Anthony Carbone. Their company had a deal with Sony Pictures.

Another milestone in Sullivan's personal life was when he met, fell in love with, and married Claire O'Donohoe. The couple exchanged vows at Castle Leslie in Ireland (shown below). In 2016, they welcomed their son Rory Jerome Paul O'Donohoe Sullivan.

Sullivan was diagnosed with and later died from bile duct cancer at the age of 42. This is a rare but aggressive form of cancer that originates from the cells lining the bile ducts in the liver. It affects fewer than 20,000 people in America each year. Some of the symptoms include jaundice or a yellowing of the skin, as well as abdominal pain.

At the time of his passing, a good friend wrote a kind farewell to him on social media. It read: "RIP Tim Sullivan. I'm completely shocked you're gone so soon. Thanks for sending me two seasons of The Golden Girls on DVD when I got deported. Thanks for being so kind, supportive, and for my dorky nickname Walky Shoes even though you knew I hated it. (I love it.) And thanks for the socks of course. You will be missed, Timmy. My heart goes out to your family."

Since his passing, Sullivan's widow posted a loving tribute to her husband on Instagram. It read: "It's a year today since we lost our ray of light and love. There are no words to fill the void but we raise a glass to you this eve and remember our gorgeous, funny, smart hero. We love you and miss you every day [heart emoji] (oh and thanks for sending the rain this morning.. your favorite) x."

Tim Sullivan was a respected friend, husband and colleague. The legacy that he leaves behind is one of creativity, kindness and a wickedly goofy sense of humor. It's sad that viewers of Floor is Lava won't get to experience more of his talent or the way in which his irreverent mind worked. However, his last major contribution to entertainment is a hit show on Netflix. Now that we've all officially met Tim Sullivan, the next step is to go back and take a second look at the shows he's helped bring to television.
