Screen Rant recently caught up with Sarah and asked where she and Michael stand, amid a pandemic and her new relationship with Malcolm. "The best I can say is that, okay, you cheated on me. You didn't want to be with me; you didn't want to be married to me, Okay, I understand," Sarah said candidly, recalling their past history, which was displayed on the show. "I've moved on, I've gotten into a relationship, and I accept that," she added. The reality star went on to reiterate how she's over her estranged husband and doesn't have romantic feelings about him anymore. "Obviously, I've gone into a relationship, and, knowing myself, I wouldn't have done that if I wasn't completely in acceptance," she explained. She continued, "I truly believe in energy, and nobody would have found me if I wasn't completely over Michael."

When it comes to the current status of her relationship with Michael, the mother of two says it's strictly on a co-parenting basis. "With that being said, I have then moved into the position of just focusing on him as the father of my kids and being the mother to his kids," she shared. Then, she expressed how important it is for her to maintain a relationship with her daughters' father. "My relationship with Michael is that, as the person I am, I will do everything and anything I possibly can to support a relationship between his kids and him," she said. For those wondering what it would take for her to cut Michael off completely, she touched on that. "Once I feel like I have done that, and I have exhausted every effort, then I'll give up. And that's the best I can say," Sarah added.

The current Life After Lockup season follows the former couple as Sarah attempts to work out a custody agreement with Michael while moving forward with a divorce. Meanwhile, Michael is in New York, spending time with his girls while Malcolm is around. Naturally, he has cultivated friendships with other women.
