Sarah Simmons of Life After Lockup is a fan of the show she stars in. She spoke exclusively with Screen Rant, sharing her thoughts on the other couples on the show. The mother of two sung the praises of fellow mom and costar Brittany Dodd.
Since Love After Lockup, Sarah has shared the ups and downs of her marriage with Michael Simmons. The two met and fell in love as teenagers. They welcomed their first daughter before Michael was sent to prison for three years. After getting married during Michael's incarceration, Sarah Simmons expected a happy ending upon his release. However, once he got out, Sarah was devastated, as she learned of her husband's infidelity. After failed attempts to reconcile, the two decided to focus solely on co-parenting their daughters, while also procrastinating about their divorce.
Now, thanks to Life After Lockup season four, Sarah has become a familiar face to fans of the hit reality series. However, she doesn't just star on the show, as she also watches it. She finds the other storylines featured engaging. While speaking exclusively with Screen Rant, Sarah dished on how she feels about the other couples on the show. She does have favorites: "l would say Brittany and Marcelino, mainly because Brittany." She added, "She's my favorite because she was the one that was in prison. And when she came out - because I can see firsthand somebody who was in prison and how sh***y they turned out, AKA my baby dad - you look at Brittany, and you see what an amazing job she's doing."
The WeTV celeb went on to praise her co-star for staying out of trouble and focusing on her family post-prison. "She is doing things that you would never have initially expected: getting custody of her son, having children, having a beautiful household and being in a healthy relationship," Sarah said, before touching on why Brittany Dodd should be proud of how far she's come in life. "To some degree, every relationship has issues," Sarah declared. "But that is such a thing that she should be proud of. And I told her that. I said, "Girl, you should be so proud of yourself for coming out of prison and doing what you've done." You don't have to be perfect; you've just got to do it."
Brittany and Marcelino remain one of the most committed and transparent Life After Lockup couples. In the last season, Brittany allowed cameras to follow her mother's journey amid a drug relapse.
