At CES 2023, LG unveiled its latest Gram laptop lineup that includes a model with a 'hidden' touchpad. The Gram series represents LG's ultra-portable laptop range that typically offers a slim and lightweight design without sacrificing important features. LG released the first Gram laptop in 2015 and has updated the series frequently. While the Gram devices originally had smaller screen sizes, keeping with the 'small and lightweight' design principle, the company has also launched 16 and 17-inch models in recent years.

One of the more noteworthy additions to the LG Gram series this year is the Gram Style, which comes in 14 and 16-inch options, has a glass design, and with a variety of available colorways. But its USP is a haptic touchpad that remains hidden in plain sight. When users touch the general touchpad area below the keyboard, LED backlighting underneath the touchpad illuminates to demarcate it from the rest of the body. It makes the device stand out in a market full of similar Windows laptops, but could affect productivity for users who rely on touch to figure out the position of the touchpad.

The Gram Style laptops feature OLED Anti-Glare Low Reflection displays with a 16:10 aspect ratio and a 120Hz refresh rate. They are powered by Intel's 13th-gen Core Raptor Lake P CPU, backed by up to 32GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 1TB of Gen 4 MVMe SSD. Both the 16-inch and 14-inch models offer atmospheric audio with Dolby Atmos and support Thunderbolt 4 and HDMI connectivity.

Along with the Style, the LG's 2023 Gram lineup also includes the Ultraslim laptop that the company calls its "thinnest Gram model yet." The device comes with an ultra-portable form factor, weighs only 998g, and is just 10.99mm thick. The Ultraslim is powered by Intel's 13th-gen Core Raptor Lake P processors and has a 15.6-inch OLED display with an Anti-glare Low Reflection (AGLR) coating.

Apart from the Style and Ultraslim, LG's 2023 Gram laptop series includes 17, 16, 15, and 14-inch models that the company says come with everything consumers expect from the range, like strong performance and a lightweight design. The devices are powered by the same processors as the other new laptop additions and come with NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 3050 4GB laptop GPUs. They also have up to 32GB of LPDDR5 memory and 1TB of Gen 4 NVMe SSD. There's also a 2-in-1 that comes in 16 and 14-inch sizes and has a bundled LG Stylus Pen as an accessory.
