The revival series Leverage: Redemption is on the way, with a set photo celebrating a wrap on filming season 1. The original Leverage aired on TNT from 2008-2012. It centers on a group who takes on heists as a means to fight injustice by large organizations. Each member of the team has a specific skill they bring to the table, earning them nicknames like "The Brains," "The Grifter," "The Hacker," "The Hitter," and "The Thief." The original series stars Timothy Hutton, Gina Bellman, Aldis Hodge, Christian Kane, and Beth Riesgraf. Though a steady performer for TNT through much of its run, Leverage was cancelled after five seasons.

The revival series was announced in April 2020. It will stream on IMDb TV. Though Hutton won't be a part of Leverage: Redemption, Noah Wyle and Aleyse Shannon have joined the cast. The first set photos from the revival were released in August 2020 and showed the original cast reuniting. Meanwhile, an official first look at the Leverage revival revealed James Marsters and Kane's characters on a golf course.

Now, executive producer Dean Devlin has revealed filming on season 1 of Leverage: Redemption has wrapped. He shared a set photo with the original cast and new members as well. Check it out below:

Leverage: Redemption doesn't have a release date yet, but the news shooting is now over could indicate an announcement is on the way. At this point, it's been nearly 10 years since the original series went off the air, making viewers especially eager for new episodes. It's also worth noting Devlin goes out of his way to mention "season one," indicating more seasons could be on the way if the first is a success. However, a decision on the show's future likely won't be made until season 1 is over.

The Leverage revival is a big get for IMDb TV, which has yet to become a major player in the crowded streaming sector. It positions IMDb TV most closely to Peacock, which has similarly focused its attention on reboots and revivals. This seems to be a solid strategy, with Peacock earning praise for its Saved by the Bell revival in particular. Though it will take more than one familiar property to make IMDb TV a success, the existing audience from Leverage certainly doesn't hurt. Hopefully, season 1 of Leverage: Redemption is a success for both the show and streamer and eventually leads to more episodes for audiences to enjoy.
