"The rich and powerful take what they want. We provide... leverage." The Leverage team is back for the first time since the series ended in 2012 in Leverage: Redemption. Most of the team has been reassembled, with the exception of the deceased Nate Ford and with only the occasional visits from Alec Hardison. Sophie, Hardison, Eliot, and Parker have returned to take down those that deserve to be brought down and help those that need to be helped.

Two new members have been added with Harry Wilson, a man looking for some redemption himself, and Hardison's sister, Breanna Casey. While they differ in degrees of intelligence, relatability, or even humor, Leverage: Redemption's best characters all share the same trait of having a compelling personality that makes each of them fascinating to watch.

Lucy Taylor As Bligh

A still of actress Lucy Taylor

Bligh is the head of the private security firm, R.I.Z. She claims the firm"provide V.I.P. security, cutting-edge data collection, threat analysis" but they're actually much more than that. They resemble a private black-ops company, the one to call when you need a private army or someone disappeared. The team has encountered both Bligh and R.I.Z. several times and it is not usually an encounter they enjoy. She's the perfect villain for them:  smart, clever, and ruthless. Bligh's their exact opposite, the player on the other side, trying to counter their moves as they counter hers.

Noah Wyle As Harry Wilson

Harry Wilson looking confused in Leverage Redemption

Harry Wilson is a former corporate fixer, someone with a guilty conscience and a lot to make up for. He meets the group on the "Too Many Rembrandts Job," and helps Leverage International take down an evil billionaire by participating in a caper worthy of comparison to some of the best heists in movie history.

Harry has come from a world of high finance, where fortunes were made no matter who it might hurt and as much money hidden offshore as possible. He joins the team for the one job but discovers the joys of helping others get justice, so he stayed. He provides a look into the worlds of boardrooms and banks that the team wouldn't have access to otherwise, using his connections to help the team accomplish their missions. The fact that someone with that background is still surprised at what a good con artist can pull off adds a certain charm to the missions as well.

Aleyse Shannon As Breanna Casey

Breanna paying close attention to something in Leverage-Redemption

Breanna Casey is the foster sister of Alec Hardison and proves not only helpful to the team but probably every bit the genius hacker Hardison is. She landed in the foster system after her parents were killed in a car crash, and moved in with Nana and Hardison.

Besides being a brilliant mechanical engineer like her brother, Breanna is also a master manipulator of social media and able to get information on anyone or anything. She has some of the same dry humor her brother is known for, but maybe with a bit more sarcasm.

Gina Bellman As Sophie Devereaux

Sophie raising her hands in Leverage Redemption

Sophie Devereaux is a failed actress turned con-woman and grifter. Like the con artist Neal Caffey in White Collar, she is a master of accents and speaks several languages and can be a brilliant actor, but only on a con, not on a stage. Her play is the "long con," not the wallet switcharoo, but the elaborate con that involves a trusted crew working together like an oiled machine. The best cons are the ones when a con artist can come back unscathed, and her plans always bring them home.

Sophie no longer has Nate Ford to do the planning, so she's stepped up to putting together the cons and running them, with the help of Harry and her trusted crew of thieves, hackers, and fighters. She has managed to step into the role of crew chief effectively, with only a few hiccups, which makes her not only one of the best characters on the show but the most fascinating one as well.

Christian Kane As Eliot Spencer

Hardinson and Spencer in Leverage Redemption

Eliot Spencer is the "retrieval" specialist, a highly trained martial artist, weapons expert, and former black-ops soldier. If there is anything to learn about fighting or firearms, Eliot already knows it and probably invented it. A former assassin, he gave that up to be something more honorable: a thief.

Eliot's role in the cons is usually a supporting one, protecting the team in the field and making sure the thugs and henchmen they encounter are taken out as quickly and quietly as possible. Although a firearms expert and marksman, Eliot prefers not to use them when he can use his hands. He and Hardison have one of the best relationships on the team, even if they do like to bicker back and forth.

Aldis Hodge As Alec Hardison

Hardison pointing at something in Leverage Redemption.

A computer and electronics expert, Hardison is a self-proclaimed nerd and fan of anything science fiction. He is responsible for the various gadgets the crew uses for their cons, usually hand-built by Hardison himself. He likes to make sure the job ends with all the gear intact, but that rarely happens. They are like his children and he wants them all safely home.

Hardison is brilliant, but his electronic abilities sometimes lead to him overcomplicating things, which is why most of his plans for the cons tend to fall apart in the explaining. His van, Lucille is his pride and joy and he has been known to be highly protective of it. While brilliant, he can be quite awkward at times, especially when it came to his relationship with Parker. He is known for his dry wit, making Hardison one of Leverage's most quotable cast members.

Beth Riesgraf As Parker

Parker with her arms crossed in Leverage-Redemption

Parker is a master thief, a legend in criminal circles to the point that some don't think she even exists. She is known to be able to steal anything, anywhere, any time. She is usually a loner, so was slow to be comfortable as part of the team, but adjusted over time, coming to trust the others and regard them as family.

Parker and Hardison have a relationship that is sometimes on, sometimes off, and always complicated. She is supremely confident of her abilities, but can still be uncomfortable around strangers and social situations. Of the team, she is one of the best planners and is always reliable to do what is needed and to help and protect others.
