A brand-new trailer has arrived for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, showcasing a reimagining of the all nine Star Wars films that have featured the Skywalker family. Despite excitement for the recent games, Star Wars has been a rather controversial topic as of late thanks to what's been a polarizing take from audiences on the latest film, The Rise of Skywalker. As mentioned already, while that cinematic adventure has largely drawn ire, the games are on the up in the hearts of fans.

The arrival of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order made for one of the more enjoyable games set within the IP's universe in recent memory, and is one of the best recieved titles from Electronic Arts – period. That sort of excitement was always bound to carry over into other games as well, with the latest LEGO game now set to make a splash with a retelling of the first nine episodes of the same motion pictures that have created such divisive responses from the fan base.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will reimagine the past iterations of LEGO Star Wars titles that have come before it. To showcase the evolution of the games, the latest trailer for title has dropped, showing off a wonderous look at some fantastic LEGO-ified moments from Episodes 1 through 9. All in all, revisting the original films in a new way at least helps gamers justify investing in The Skywalker Saga, as there's new content to explore and an entire narrative that they can see through to the very end.

Screen Rant's preview of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga was incredibly positive, leaving us excited to see the finished product when it arrives on Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One at some point in 2020. Truthfully, it's a shame that the title wasn't able to make it out to coincide with the arrival of The Rise of Skywalker, but it's an easier pill to swallow knowing that fans have the fantastic Jedi: Fallen Order to sink their teeth into.

The onyl downside to this announcement is a confirmation that LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga won't recieve DLC based on Rogue One or Solo. Even then, with nine films lined up for inclusion in the game, it's almost impossible to be upset with the value already present in the package at launch. Plus, it looks substantially better than the mobile-only LEGO Star Wars Battles.
