There are 23 explorable hub worlds in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, but not all of them are as enjoyable as others. Some of the hub worlds rank lower because of their size, while others stay at the bottom of the list due to their lack of interesting content or settings. Each planet, aside from Kijimi, can be explored in free play after being unlocked in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.
For every hub world that can be accessed, there's a quest in story mode that needs to be completed for it to be unlocked. Some of the planets won't be accessible until the end of one of the trilogies. For example, Exegol isn't available in free play until the final mission in Rise of Skywalker is completed. Once a hub world is unlocked in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywlaker Saga, free play can be selected to visit any available area at will. However, some hub worlds are much more enjoyable to explore than others.
A few of the hub worlds are too small or boring to make it to the top of the list, while others are disappointing for excluding significant story areas. The best hub worlds give players a lot of content to play through and offer a visually impressive setting that stands out from some of the duller ones like D'Qar or Geonosis. The aesthetics, available side activities, and layout of each hub world determine which are the best locations in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.
#23 - D'Qar Is The Worst LEGO Star Wars Hub World
D'Qar is the worst of the Rebel or Resistance Base hub worlds. Half of the hangars are closed, and the ones that are open don't have much in them. The environment is oddly empty compared to the rest of the planets, and there's nothing interesting to look at while exploring this small area. The side missions and activities aren't particularly exciting, so D'Qar is easily the worst hub world in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.
#22 - Crait Isn't Fun To Explore In LEGO Star Wars: Skywalker Saga
Crait is one of the most disappointing hub worlds because the base is boring, and there's no way to explore outside. While playing through the plot of LEGO Star Wars' The Last Jedi, Kylo Ren fights a hologram of Luke Skywalker outside of the base on Crait, but in Free Play the area is inaccessible. There are still a lot of big, open areas to explore, and Crait is not a particularly memorable planet in the series, but it seems like more could have been done to make it interesting. A lot of the rooms have the same layout and similar puzzles, so Crait comes in at the bottom of the list.
#21 - LEGO Star Wars' Takodana Hub World Needed More
Maz's Castle is bigger than it seems with multiple floors to visit, but Takodana doesn't have much else to offer. The exterior mimics some of the other planets in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, and the interior is dark and lackluster. The best part about Takodana is climbing up to the top of the castle and seeing the view before jumping off and gliding down to the ground. Takodana isn't a bad hub world, there's just not much that's special about it.
#20 - LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga's Worst Hubs - Exegol
Most of Exegol isn't seen in story mode for The Rise of Skywalker, so Free Play offers a unique opportunity to explore this desolate planet. There are a few entertaining side activities, like the Knights of Gonk quest, but the dark setting and small size are off-putting. The puzzles are all very similar, so collecting all of the Kyber Bricks to 100% Exegol in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywlaker Saga gets boring. Although there are a few interesting quests, Exegol is otherwise dull.
#19 - LEGO Star Wars' Geonosis Hub World Has Fun Side Missions
Geonosis has a rocky environment with hardly any LEGO bricks in most areas. The Petranaki arena, where Jango Fett is unlocked in the Skywalker Saga, isn't included in free play, and the areas that can be explored aren't very memorable or distinct. Although the environment is fairly empty, the side missions on Geonosis are still fun to play through.
The creatures from the Petranaki arena can even be taken on again as a side activity, so there are a few things to like about Geonosis. Even if the environment can look slightly repetitive, TT Games has still been able to cram in plenty of content for players to take part in. As with all the other hub areas, players will have to use a variety of different character classes in order to discover all that Geonosis has to offer.
#18 - LEGO Star Wars' Kef Bir Lets Players Explore The Death Star
Being able to explore the Death Star ruins in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga offers a unique experience with an environment that differs from any other hub world. There are plenty of parkour challenges within the Death Star, and there's also a small village to explore across the water from the ruins. Kef Bir is only featured in one story mission, but revisiting the planet in free play is a different experience that makes this hub area fairly interesting.
#17 - LEGO Star Wars: Skywalker Saga Hub Worlds - Endor
The Ewok Village in LEGO Star Wars: Skywalker Saga is done well, but it quickly gets old running up and down the spiral stairs to reach different treetop platforms. The other areas of Endor that are featured in the main story don't exist as part of the hub world. The jungle can be revisited by repeating story missions, but there's no way to explore the rest of Endor freely. With just the Ewok Village included in the hub world, Endor is a bit underwhelming.
#16 - LEGO Star Wars' Hoth Hub World Only Includes Echo Base
Hoth is a slightly disappointing hub world, because the only way to explore outside the base is during the "Hoth and Cold" story mission. However, Echo Base is still an interesting area to explore, and the icy environment is unlike any other setting in the game. There are a few unique puzzles to complete, and there's also a mission to unlock the Wampa in The Skywalker Saga. Hoth would have been much better if the outside could be explored in free play, but it's still a decent hub world.
#15 - LEGO Star Wars' Yavin IV Has Plenty Of Puzzles
Although Yavin 4 is really just the Great Temple, the structure is impressively large and full of interesting puzzles. The exterior isn't anything special, but climbing up to the top of the tower and looking out gives a nice view of the more distant parts of Yavin 4. Going up and down the many staircases inside the temple gets tedious, but it's still a unique area to explore, and the detailed interior creates an interesting hub world.
#14 - LEGO Star Wars: Skywalker Saga Clone Wars Worlds - Utapau
Feeding and fighting Varactyls is the biggest draw for Pau City, but there are also a few other activities that make the hub world entertaining. For example, the "Rock Music" quest in The Skywalker Saga has a mysterious door that sends players to different planets to dance in rock circles. Pau City is small compared to what was shown of it in the Revenge of the Sith film, but it still takes a while to explore the whole area, and several levels of the city are accessible.
The location of one of the final battles of the Clone Wars, players are first able to encounter Utapau while progressing through the Revenge of the Sith episode in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. Afterward, they should be able to return and encounter all kinds of secrets and hidden details. It's nice to explore a location previously only spotlighted during wartime in the Star Wars films, with plenty of Pau'ans to interact with.
#13 - Dagobah Is One Of LEGO Star Wars' Atmospheric Hub Worlds
The Dragonsnake Bog on Dagobah is a classic Star Wars location that's easily identified due to its stark contrast to other recognizable places. That being said, Dagobah is a small hub world that doesn't have much going for it in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga aside from the unique scenery and the ability to go inside Yoda's hut. The story mode missions on Dagobah are definitely more fun than coming back to the planet later in free play to complete puzzles and quests.
#12 - LEGO Star Wars' Ajan Kloss Has Zymods To Find
The dense foliage outside contrasts the interior parts of the base on Ajan Kloss. The Zymod collection in LEGO Star Wars: Skywalker Saga can only be completed on Ajan Kloss, and there's a bit of a challenge in running around looking for small reptile-like creatures that can change color to blend in with the environment. There's also a Lord of the Rings reference in one of the side quests on Ajan Kloss that makes it a little more interesting. Ajan Kloss is one of the better bases that can be explored.
#11 - LEGO Star Wars' Version Of Pasaana Is Fun To Explore
There's not a lot to Pasaana other than the festival, but there's a fun atmosphere that creates a unique experience on this planet. The vibrant colors, quirky side activities, and dancing NPCs make revisiting Pasaana a treat each time. Having the festival with colorful tents and kites flying around does a great job of separating Pasaana from other sand planets, like Jakku or Tatooine. Pasaana is one of the hub worlds in LEGO Star Wars: Skywalker Saga that stands out as memorable and genuinely fun.
#10 - Jakku Is A Memorable Sand Planet In LEGO Star Wars
Jakku is another sand planet in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, but it does a pretty good job of setting itself apart from the others with different structures and interiors that can be discovered. The sheer size of Jakku makes it an interesting hub world to return to because there's just a lot to do. Using various rides to quickly travel across the entire map is sometimes more entertaining than actually completing the missions on Jakku, but pretty much everything about this hub world is enjoyable after getting past the endless sand.
#9 - LEGO Star Wars' Kamino Lets Players Hang With Clones
Kamino is one of the hub worlds that was executed perfectly in comparison to its movie counterpart. This version is very detailed, and the interior of Tipoca City is more elegant than most of the other planets in LEGO Star Wars: Skywalker Saga. The layout connects the city perfectly with multiple paths to reach each area.
There are a lot of entertaining puzzles and side quests to complete on Kamino, and it's one of the best hub worlds to run around in after beating the game. For those left particularly upset by the events of The Bad Batch, it's nice to know that Kamino lives on in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga's canon-free environment. Clones can be seen having fun with each other across the map, and there are numerous secrets to discover.
#8 - Cantonica Is One Of The Best LEGO Star Wars Hub Worlds
For those that want to break into a casino vault or simply take a stroll along a quiet beach at night, Cantonica is the place to be. The city has a lot of personality, even outside of the casino, and some of the puzzles are more interesting than the typical pressure plate or buttons found throughout the galaxy. For a planet that's not included much in the story, the hub world on Cantonica goes the extra mile to bring players a truly intriguing location with interesting puzzles in LEGO Star Wars: Skywalker Saga.
#7 - Bespin Is Great To Explore In LEGO Star Wars: Skywalker Saga
The warm lighting and beautiful views on Bespin make it the most relaxing hub world to visit during free play in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. In contrast with the intense story mission that takes place in Cloud City, returning in free play offers a calming environment with plenty of fun activities to unwind with. The biggest disappointment with the Bespin hub world is that the interior seen in the "Hibernation Station" story mission is inaccessible when returning to the planet. Otherwise, Bespin is a beautifully crafted hub world that stands out among the rest.
#6 - LEGO Star Wars' Porg-Filled Ach-To Looks Wonderful
Even though The Last Jedi story missions weren't the best, the hub world for Ahch-To was done really well, and there's a lot to discover there. The layout allows for players to climb up the side of the rocky terrain in pretty much any location in LEGO Star Wars: Skywalker Saga, which makes it easy to get around without needing to trudge up and down the long staircases. The creatures enhance the setting, and Ahch-To is an all-around visually pleasing planet with a lot of side quests to complete.
#5 - LEGO Star Wars Hubs Include Wookiee Homeworld Kashyyyk
The size and scope of Kashyyyk makes it one of the best hub worlds in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, and there are various layers to explore. The ground level has enough to fill a hub world on its own, but players can reach the treetops and climb up to higher levels to experience a completely different part of Kashyyyk. Some side activities require interacting with the Wookiees and helping them defeat clones outside of the story mission. As a large planet without a linear path, Kashyyyk is among the top hub worlds.
#4 - LEGO Star Wars' Mustafar Hub Goes Beyond ROTS' End Duel
Mustafar has an impending doom feel to it, even when returning in free play after the fight with Anakin. This dangerous LEGO Star Wars: Skywalker Saga setting has the complete opposite effect that the calming light of Bespin has. There's no other hub world that comes close to the intensity of Mustafar, and it has some of the harder parkour challenges in the game.
Many of the side activities are refreshing instead of being the same quest in a different location, so Mustafar is one of the best hub worlds to return to. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has recreated many different elements of the planet first seen in 2005's Revenge of the Sith, including all of the major areas where Obi-Wan and Anakin duel. These have been bolstered with additional rooms and areas to make the setting more expansive than it otherwise might have been without them.
#3 - Tatooine Has Multiple Hub Areas In LEGO Star Wars
When considering Tatooine has Mos Espa, Mos Eisley, and the Jundland Wastes to revisit, it's easy to see why it would rank as one of the best hub worlds. It's the largest and most detailed of the sand planets, and there are a lot of interiors to discover. Different rides create new experiences while crossing the sand dunes, and the side activities are very enjoyable. Tatooine is included in every Star Wars trilogy in The Skywalker Saga, so it's no surprise that so much effort was put into building a LEGO version, and it was done very well.
#2 LEGO Star Wars' Naboo Includes Theed & Otoh Gunga
Naboo is a massive hub world with a lot to offer between Theed and Lake Paonga, and the completely different settings make it one of the most interesting planets to return to in free play. Theed is full of colorful plants that stand out against the lightly colored bricks that make up each building. In complete contrast, the dark setting of Lake Paonga presents a new experience that seems like a different planet altogether. Naboo is undeniably one of the best hub worlds and, along with giving players a set of elegantly crafted areas to explore, it also contains a lot of content to play through after beating LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.
#1 - The Best LEGO Star Wars: Skywalker Saga Hub World Is Coruscant
Coruscant is the best hub world because the districts are completely different, there are classic locations to visit, and, with all of the additional areas to reach by taxi, the planet is massive. Coruscant offers the opportunity to explore the Jedi Temple or take a seat on the Jedi High Council, and then take a taxi to the vastly different nightlife of the Uscru District a moment later. It can be argued that the areas on Naboo are just as different, but Coruscant is more interesting and does a better job of bringing the planet to life. Coruscant rightfully earns its spot as the best hub world in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.
