Ahead of the release of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, the development team released a detailed behind-the-scenes video on how the LEGO Star Wars galaxy was created. Even though no actual LEGOs were needed to build the planets and moons of the galaxy, the level of detail and effort that was put into creating LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is evident from this behind-the-scenes video.

While the LEGO video game series often focuses on creating new stories based on LEGO versions of beloved characters, the LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga game will feature all nine of the main series of Star Wars films. The game will feature characters and locations from the main trilogy, prequel trilogy, and sequel trilogy, allowing players to control some of the franchise's most iconic characters. Characters have also been confirmed to be added after the launch of LEGO Star Wars, including characters from The Mandolorian and Solo: A Star Wars Story. With all these characters and locations spanning nine movies to be included in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, a great deal of effort was needed to make the virtual galaxy a reality.

The level of detail that is evident in the world design is sure to make the biggest Star Wars fans grin. Even though the characters are based on blocky LEGOs, the worlds themselves are breathtaking and feature small details that make the planets come alive. For instance, characters' outfits will get dustier as they venture across the sandy dunes of Tattooine, making the LEGO Star Wars game a worthy addition to the Skywalker legacy.

With so many detailed worlds to explore and hundreds of missions, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga lets players experience the nine films like never before. Even though it's only possible through virtual LEGOs, the teams behind LEGO Star Wars have built a true galaxy at a massive scale. As the behind-the-scenes video shows, the people who created that galaxy are worthy of praise.
