The newest trailer for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, revealed at Gamescom 2021, included a quick look at the game's Galaxy Map. Of the 24 planets visible, five were undiscovered, but previous trailers suggest these locations have already been revealed.

Rather than the single hubs of the original two LEGO Star Wars games, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga lets players explore a number of planets between missions. The Skywalker Saga's Gamescom trailer showed Luke pulling out a hologram device on Dagobah, bringing up the Galaxy Map, selecting Tatooine, and warping there through Hyperspace in his X-Wing. A montage then showed several characters free-roaming around planets like Jakku and Kashyyyk and piloting various vehicles.

According to Kotaku, a 2019 demo build of the game began by having the player select one of the nine main Star Wars films, after which they could fly to planets related to that movie, each containing "a mix of movie-centric material and more generalized Star Wars activities." Developer Traveler's Tales told Kotaku each movie would feature five story missions that take the player to various locations around the galaxy, but any planet unlocked during one movie's story could be visited in free-roam during another's. So far, 19 planets have been officially confirmed as hub worlds.

In the trailer, the following planets were seen on LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga's Galaxy Map.

  • Ach-To, the location of the first Jedi Temple, as seen most prominently in The Last Jedi.
  • Ajan Kloss - a planet from Star Wars Battlefront 2.
  • Kef Bir, the moon of Endor where Rey and company find the ruins of Palpatine's Death Star throne room in The Rise of Skywalker.
  • Endor, the location of the Death Star II's shield generator in Return of the Jedi.
  • Bespin, home to The Empire Strikes Back's Cloud City.
  • Hoth, where the Rebellion hides at Echo Base in The Empire Strikes Back.
  • Cantonica - the planet that's home to Canto Bight.
  • Coruscant - the seat of the Republic and eventual Empire.
  • Crait, the salt-covered planet seen in The Last Jedi.
  • Dagobah, Yoda's hideout and Luke's training ground in The Empire Strikes Back.
  • Exegol - the Sith planet seen in The Rise of Skywalker.
  • Utapau, the location of Obi-Wan's showdown with General Grievous in Revenge of the Sith.
  • Pasaana, the desert world Rey and crew visit in their search for Exegol in The Rise of Skywalker.
  • Naboo, the planet the Trade Federation first invades in The Phantom Menace.
  • D'Qar, home of the Resistance base at the end of The Force Awakens.
  • Geonosis, where the Clone Wars begins in Attack of the Clones.
  • Tatooine, Luke's home world in A New Hope.
  • Kamino, the location of the secret cloning facility in Attack of the Clones.
  • Kashyyyk, home world of Chewbacca and featured in Revenge of the Sith.
  • Kijimi, home of Zorii Bliss in The Rise of Skywalker.
  • Mustafar - the fiery planet first seen in Revenge of the Sith.
  • Yavin 4, the location of the Rebel base in A New Hope.

YouTuber MandRproductions noted that, based on footage in this trailer and others, the five missing planets appear to be Mustafar, Coruscant, Jakku, Exegol, and Takodana. Planet-turned-weapon Starkiller Base has been seen in previous LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga footage but does not appear on the map, so it is likely locked to a story mission. The same goes for the Death Stars, as all three of these locations are destroyed and therefore wouldn't make much sense as explorable hubs.

Other, non-planet locations seen in the trailer include the Tantive IV - the ship where the first scene of A New Hope takes place - and the Separatist flagship where Anakin kills Count Dooku in Revenge of the Sith. More locations will likely be confirmed as LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga's launch draws closer.
