After a long but rewarding wait, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is finally here, and while it adds some phenomenal features and details to other LEGO video games, one feature that has stayed intact is the existence of unlock codes. For this game, these codes unlock characters and vehicles via an 'enter code' section of the holo-map.
While some of these characters are available through simply playing the game, there are a select few characters as well as two vehicles that can only be unlocked via these codes.

Vice Admiral Amilyn Holdo
Vice Admiral Holdo may be a divisive character, but as a relatively big part of The Last Jedi, she was deservedly going to be in this game.
Players can simply play through the films of the game and unlock her that way. But the code above can be used at any time to permanently unlock her before getting to The Last Jedi's level.

Nute Gunray
It is highly unlikely that there are a load of fans out there chomping at the bit to play as LEGO Nute Gunray, but they can if they want.
The very meh prequel trilogy villain is unlockable by playing the game but can be unlocked earlier via this code for those with a serious soft spot for the Viceroy of the Trade Federation.

Poggle The Lesser
Archduke Poggle the Lesser may have been under the rule of Queen Karina the Great, but he still managed to become an important part of the Confederacy for Independent Systems.
Poggle will be unlocked by playing through the prequels in the game, and this code is an alternative way to keep him on the player's roster of weird and wonderful characters.

Ratts Tyerell is not a name that is familiar to every Star Wars fan. Many will recognize him from the Boonta Eve Classic podrace, though.
Tyerell, like many others, met his demise in the iconic podrace scene from The Phantom Menace. However, he can live on in the memories and the character section of fans and players.

Alongside Boba Fett, Bossk, and IG-88, Dengar came out of the iconic scene in The Empire Strikes Back as a fan favorite Star Wars bounty hunter.
Dengar is not a code-exclusive character, but players have the option to do so. Bounty hunters are always fun to play, as in Star Wars games, and LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is no different.

Being one of the best and most well-known villains in Star Wars, Grand Moff Tarkin was always going to be a playable character in this game.
He is another with multiple ways of unlocking him, and when it comes to Imperial Officers, he will be many players' first choice to play as.

One of the more likable and recognizable Jedi to come out of the prequel era was Aayla Secura, a badass Twi'lek who many will want to play as.
Thankfully, it is fairly easy to unlock her, either doing so through the game itself or by this code, which some enthusiastic players will take advantage of.

Emperor Sheev Palpatine
Many codes are jumbled-up letters and numbers that would take insane skill or luck to guess; SIDIOUS, though, is a bit easier to remember.
There are many different versions/costumes of Star Wars' biggest, baddest, and most intelligent villain Palpatine in the game spanning all three trilogies, and this code unlocks the Emperor who can also be unlocked by playing the story.

Temmin 'Snap' Wexley
Both the original and sequel trilogies offer fans some likable pilots, and for the latter, Temmin 'Snap' Wexley is a prime example, a character liked by many sequel trilogy fans despite his lack of screentime.
Snap cannot be unlocked any other way by players. It is either enter the fairly simple code or do without the Resistance pilot, something that will simply not be an option for completionists.

D-O (Holiday Special)
Not every unlock code gives players a wholly new character, and there are a group of codes that give players fun holiday outfits for specific characters. These outfits suit Christmas time or just an exploration of Hoth.
One such character is D-O, a droid who did not get much time to shine in the sequel trilogy but still managed to become an incredibly likable little droid.

C-3PO (Holiday Special)
There are a few costumes for everyone's favorite annoying protocol droid, C-3PO in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, including his fabulous Holiday Special outfit.
Like all of the Holiday Special costumes, Threepio's Santa jacket and beard are code-exclusive, so players should take advantage to see the great outfit.

Poe Dameron (Holiday Special)
The LEGO Star Wars: Holiday Special has Poe, who has one of the best (if not uneven) sequel trilogy arcs, as one of the central characters is well worth the watch for fans who want easy, silly Star Wars entertainment.
This code unlocks Poe's holiday outfit, a simple yet jolly Christmas jumper that many fans would undoubtedly love to see Oscar Isaac rock.

Darth Vader (Holiday Special)
Darth Vader may be one of Star Wars' most powerful and iconic villains, but when it comes to LEGO, he is not entirely void of cheer and holiday spirit.
This code unlocks the code-exclusive Holiday Special outfit for Vader, which is another simple fit, a Christmas jumper that rocks a Death Star design.
WOOKIEE
Chewbacca (Holiday Special)
Most Holiday Special outfits are quite simple, a jumper or Santa beard, for example. However, Chewbacca's is a bit funnier and more drastic.
This code unlocks snowy Chewbacca, a fully white version of the character with a red, green, and white bandolier. The beloved Wookiee may have the best Christmas costume of the lot.
LIFEDAY
GNK Droid (Holiday Special)
GNK Droids have become the stuff of LEGO legend amongst the Star Wars fandom, and their increased role and abilities in this game are a welcome addition.
So too is the code-exclusive Holiday Special GNK Droid, which, similarly to Chewbacca, sees a color scheme overhaul as the droid gets made into its galactic snowman.

Mister Bones
The latest code to get released by the game came out on the game's Twitter account, and it unlocks none other than Mister Bones, who will be known to fans of the Aftermath trilogy.
The B-1 Battle Droid, which was heavily modified by Snap Wexley, can be unlocked via this code and, just on a design level, seems like a fun alternative to the regular B-1.
SHUTTLE
Resistance I-TS Transport
Thus far, two ships can be unlocked via codes, one of which is the Resistance I-TS Transport, also known as the Intersystem Transport ship found at Galaxy's Edge.
A unique ship, the transport will be fun for all players to try out, flying through the game's incredible space portion, and can only be unlocked via this code.

Razor Crest
Perhaps the best code of all is one that unlocks the second ship, none other than the already iconic Razor Crest from The Mandalorian's first two seasons.
The ship may have been destroyed in the show, but it is still adored by fans who can ride it around space in this game by entering this code. It will be interesting to see what other ships get released via unlock codes and if any can live up to this incredible ship.
