The competitive reality series LEGO Masters has been renewed for season 3 by Fox. Based on the 2017 British TV series of the same name, the series format sees two teams using LEGO bricks to put together structures that meet the creative and practical goals of a given episode's theme. The series is hosted by Will Arnett, the voice of LEGO Batman in Warner Bros. series of LEGO movies, and features several celebrity guest judges such as directors of The LEGO Movie, Phil Lord and Chris Miller.

According to THR, the show will return for season 3 airing in 2022, with Arnett returning as host and executive producer. The show, which also has actor Brad Pitt on its list of executive producers, has done solid business for the network, attracting an average of 4.2 million viewers across all platforms. President of alternative entertainment and specials at Fox, Rob Wade, released a statement saying:

"Thanks to our amazing and hilarious host, Will Arnett; our immensely talented crew; and our fantastic producing partners, the love of the Lego brand keeps growing. Last summer’s creations were even more spectacular than those in our debut season, and we will continue to raise the bar of creativity with season three."

With LEGO's long history as an incredibly popular children's toy that promotes creativity and innovation, it should be no surprise that the show still has plenty of ideas for themes of future episodes, with the concept of LEGO already proving to be incredibly adaptable across seasons 1 & 2. The series could produce another episode based on one of the many IP's that LEGO produces branded sets for, as they did with Star Wars, or potentially even put a spin on the many video games published by the company over the years. Whatever lies in store, it will undoubtedly appeal to the inner child, or indeed the adult collector, in every LEGO fan to see the directions LEGO Masters takes in the episodes to come.
