Rocket is Ready for Action in LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 Launch Trailer

Watch the launch trailer for LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2, which features 200+ characters in a battle against Kang the Conqueror.

Releasing today, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 provides fans with hundreds of Marvel characters across multiple time periods, as they work to defeat the time-travelling villain, Kang the Conqueror.

The third game in the LEGO Marvel franchise, Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 is based primary on the comic book source material - though certain characters, such as the Guardians of the Galaxy, take inspiration from the Marvel Cinematic Universe film franchise. The game is a direct sequel to LEGO Marvel Super Heroes, and isn't connected to the last game in the franchise, LEGO's Marvel Avengers, which only recreated the stories from the first two Avengers MCU movies. LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 features an original story that takes player to a rich open world setting called Chronopolis, a place that combines 18 key locations from Marvel Comics.

The trailer even features obscure characters like Stingray and Red Guardian. Prominent villains, such as Klaw, MODOK, and Doctor Octopus, also make comedic relief appearances.

The trailer gives fans a preview of some of the places players will get to visit. Marvel characters can be seen traversing through ancient Egypt, the American Wild West, the distant future, and New York City.

Aside from the story mode,  LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 also features a 4-player battle arena mode, which allows players to face off against each other using their favorite Marvel characters. The mode is briefly teased in the trailer, with the Grandmaster observing a clash between Moon Knight, Fin Fang Foom, Red Hulk, and Doctor Strange.
