Pictures of Legends of Tomorrow episode “No Country for Old Dads” show Wally West joining the Legends. This season of Legends of Tomorrow has largely been a season of goodbyes. The Legends have had to say goodbye to Martin Stein, to Jax, and almost as soon as the Earth-X double of Leonard Snart joined them, he also decided to return home and said goodbye. Little do the Legends know that they will soon get to say hello to an old friend – Wally West aka Kid Flash.

Wally is already known to the Legends, due to the connections several of them share to Barry Allen and the rest of Team Flash. Plus his presence at Barry and Iris’ wedding before the ceremony was crashed by Earth-X Nazis and the partnership Wally shared for a time with Ray Palmer. Wally left Central City awhile ago on a mission of self-discovery. And in the final moments of previous episode “Here I Go Again” Wally was found by Rip Hunter – who is going to take the young speedster to the Legends.

An earlier behind the scenes photo showed Wally West actor Keiynan Lonsdale in his Kid Flash costume. Now The CW has released several photos of “No Country for Old Dads” which will air in two weeks. And several of them show Wally West on the Waverider, finally joining up with the Legends.

The pictures focus on the reunion of Wally, Rip Hunter, and the rest of the Legends – with Agent Ava Sharpe thrown in for good measure. Wally seems happy to be joining up with the Legends, perhaps believing his journey to figure out where he belongs in the universe has ended. Meanwhile, Zuri and Amaya appear to be performing some kind of ceremony, most likely related to their totems. And Rory is uncharacteristically colorful in a Grateful Dead tee-shirt, the only indication of the time period they’ve time traveled to in the episode.

Wally joining the team has been a long time promised and it’s exciting to see how soon it will be happening, with only one more episode before he joins the Legends. Nor will Wally be the only old friend coming to Legends of Tomorrow. The Legend’s old ally Jonah Hex and Wally’s speedster ex-girlfriend Jessie Quick are both going to appear on the show as well. And even though he just said both hello and goodbye to them, Constantine will be making another appearance soon. With so many goodbyes having already happened this season, it seems like the eminent arrival of Wally West is the first in a series of welcome hellos.

Legends of Tomorrow returns to the CW on Monday, February 26 with “The Curse of Earth Totem” at 8 pm. “No Country for Old Dads” airs at the same time on March 5.
