Legends of Tomorrow will be bringing Courtney Ford onboard to play Damien Darhk's daughter during season three of the time travel series on The CW. The show is part of the Arrowverse and follows a a team of characters as they visit different time periods, in an effort to keep the time stream from collapsing in on itself. The Legends season 2 finale saw the Legends return to Los Angeles in 2016, only to find things were very out of place. The city looks extremely different, and there were even dinosaurs wandering the streets.

The Arrowverse has been using Darhk as a villain since he faced Oliver Queen during Arrow season 4. He was originally part of H.I.V.E. and was looking to use nuclear weapons to remake the world as he saw it. He proved himself as a powerful opponent for the Green Arrow. However, once he had teamed up with the Reverse Flash and Malcolm Merlyn, he was even more formidable foe during Legends of Tomorrow season 2.

Ford will be playing the villain's daughter in Legends season 3, as has been confirmed by EW. Ford is best known for her work on Dexter as Quinn's reporter girlfriend and has also appeared on Supernatural, Parenthood and True Blood over the years. According to EW, she'll be playing 'Eleanor', a charmingly intelligent woman who also has an 'otherworldly creepiness'. It sounds like she'll be following in her father's footsteps. She also has an ability to manipulate people in ways they never thought possible - although it's not clear if that's a superpower or just a talent she has.

Damien Darhk with Captain Cold in Legends of Tomorrow

Damien Darhk was killed at the end of Arrow season 4, but the Reverse-Flash traveled through time to bring the character back for Legends of Tomorrow season 2. Although Darhk had been returned to his original timeline by the end of the season, Legend's showrunners have confirmed that he will be returning in season 3, to continue troubling the Legends themselves. The show's writers apparently have a 'fun' way of bringing Darhk back from the dead, yet again - and with a whole host of other villains joining the third season, the Legends will soon have plenty to deal with.

With characters like Gorilla Grodd and Captain Cold making their return to the Arrowverse soon, Damien and Eleanor Darhk will be in familiar villainous company. A number of cast members have nonetheless indicated that Legends season 3 will feel quite different, which may not be a bad thing. Now that it's up to the Legends to remake and "fix" the entirety of history, the scope of the show is about to get a lot bigger.
