Warning: The following feature contains SPOILERS for Legends of Tomorrow, season 5, episode 2, "Meet The Legends."

A running gag which started in the short-lived Constantine series has made its way into the latest season of Legends of Tomorrow, with John Constantine's newest business card offering a treat for those fans bold enough to call his phone number. This marks the third time that the Arrowverse producers have created an augmented reality Easter egg based around John's phone number.

The first episode of Legends of Tomorrow following Crisis on Infinite Earths, "Meet The Legends," finds everyone's favorite working-class warlock up to his old tricks, working as an exorcist for hire. For reasons beyond John's understanding, he's taken on former Time Agent and general schmuck Gary Green as an apprentice and agreed to let a documentary crew follow him around as he works. Both of these are a result of the bargain Gary made with his former fairy godmother, whom he agreed to free from her bond to him if she granted his fondest wish and made him John Constantine's assistant.

As Gary explained his duties to the camera crew, an irritated John snapped at him and told him to hurry up as they had a case. Gary apologized and offered the camera man one of John's new business cards., telling him to call Gary later. The card was held up to the camera for several seconds, allowing viewers ample time to grab their phones or pause their DVRs and video feeds. Twitter user @Chris_Ford_ was kind enough to record the message that plays when one calls the number, which can be heard below.

The new message continues a running gag which began with the business card John Constantine flashed in the pilot episode of Constantine. Calling that number would result in John telling the caller to leave a message, unless they were calling for Alec Holland (the secret identity of Swamp Thing), in which case they should "try the bloody swamp." Later, shortly after John first appeared on Legends of Tomorrow, the message changed. This time he warned those who had called him seeking help to leave a message and lock their doors.

Sadly, there's no sign on-line of the merch shop which Gary mentions in the new message. Doubtlessly there's many fans of Constantine and Legends of Tomorrow who would like to purchase a "John Constantine: Demon Defeater" t-shirt. Even so, the joke is an amusing one and a fine example of how far the Arrowverse producers will go for a laugh.
