Over almost two season, the heroes of Legends of Tomorrow have gone on a number of adventures and faced all sorts of threats. Thanks to the nature of their work trying to fix the time stream, they've faced Time Masters, rampaging dinosaurs, and Confederate zombies, all while trying to keep history intact. Their most recent jaunt through time landed them in World War I where they encountered a young J.R.R. Tolkien and faced a revived Captain Cold, the newest member of the Legion of Doom.

Over the course of season 2, the Legion has been gathering members and power, posing a threat to the Legends and reality itself. Their lust for the Spear of Destiny has made them a dangerous bunch, and nothing good will come of them obtaining it. Recently, we got a description for next week's episode, 'Doomworld,' that sees the Legion rewriting reality to put them in charge. Earlier today, a new promo showed us a bit of that wacky world, where all of our heroes have taken on new roles. Now, we've got a look at one of the most iconic things about the Legion: their headquarters.

Executive producer Marc Guggenheim tweeted out a new image (via CBR), showing an establishing shot from the upcoming episode. Smack dab in the middle is the unmistakeable facade of the Hall of Doom, the headquarters of the Legion.

Hall of Doom from Legends of Tomorrow

While it's made a few appearances in the comics, the Legion and their helmet-like base are best known from the Super Friends animated series where they debuted. As such, it's already somewhat of a nerdy Easter egg to even involve the Legion on Legends in the first place, let alone to flat out show their headquarters. It just goes to show how dedicated the people behind the Arrowverse are to the fans and the history of the various characters on the show.

'Doomworld' will be the penultimate episode of the season, with April's finale spelling potential disaster for our heroes. We also know the final episode will see the return of Tolkien and Laurel Lance. Sara's sister has yet to appear on the show, mostly because she's been dead for quite some time. It'll be interesting to see how that plays out, and if it in any way alters White Canary's current leadership position on the team.

Assuming the Legends make it out of the finale alive, they're likely not done with their mission. For one, the Legion is too good a group of villains to be cast aside at the end of the season. For another thing, we know The CW is going to continue their yearly crossovers, so the Legends will hopefully still be an active part of that as they've been renewed for another season. Still, the finale is likely to once again shake up the lineup, so the next few week's will be revealing.

Legends of Tomorrow continues Tuesday, March 28 with ‘Doomworld’ at 9 pm on The CW.
