Things have never been easy on Legends of Tomorrow for the time-traveling band of misfits trying to save the world. The team has most recently joined forces with Team Flash, Team Arrow, and Supergirl to combat an alien invasion of present-day Earth. Jax and Dr. Stein confronting Barry with his enigmatic message from the future also revealed to the team that their lives may have been altered by that Flashpoint timeline.
After battling a dangerous horde of mind-controlling aliens, a trip back to 1920s Chicago in upcoming episode 'The Chicago Way' might seem like a piece of cake in comparison. Unfortunately, what's waiting for them there is still a formidable threat, in the form of Eobard Thawne's Legion of Doom.
Part of the fun of Legends is seeing the eclectic group of heroes donning period costume, and the latest group of photos from The CW, which you can view below, features some of the cast in their 1920s finery. The highlight is of course Sara's flapper look, but Nate, Ray, and Jax also get to rock the stylish suits and long coats of the era.

The photos from "The Chicago Way" also feature some familiar villains, as well as a glimpse of Dr. Stein's latest predicament noted in the episode's official synopsis:
"When a new Time Aberration is discovered by the Legends, they find themselves headed to 1927 Chicago. The Legends quickly realize that they have been set up by Eobard Thawne (guest star Matt Letscher), Damien Darhk (guest star Neal McDonough) and the newest member of the Legion of Doom, Malcolm Merlyn (guest start John Barrowman). While everyone is trying to help fix what they think is the mission, Jax (Franz Drameh) encourages a reluctant Stein (Victor Garber) to share his secret with the other Legends. Stein is taken captive and Sara (Caity Lotz) must make the tough choice of either stopping the Legion of Doom or saving Stein. Meanwhile, Rory (Dominic Purcell) gets an unexpected visitor and is not sure how to handle it."
That secret likely has to do with the revelation that Stein's recent bout of headaches and visions were related to a huge change in his life. Turns out the meddling he did in his own timeline in 1987 created a daughter for Stein and his wife, which is obviously going to be difficult to come to terms with. This just adds another layer to what looks like another complicated episode with plenty of drama, evil plans, and possibly mob-related gun-toting adventure -- in really cool outfits.
Legends of Tomorrow concludes the Invasion! crossover event tonight, at 8pm on The CW.
