The Arrowverse has managed to introduce many great TV shows. But as a rule, it usually airs shows focused on a single titular hero who has multiple sidekicks who also moonlight as superheroes. However, that's not the case of Legends of Tomorrow where many heroes work on equal terms and they form a team together, a family.

Legends of Tomorrow has aired five seasons so far, and it isn't showing any signs of slowing down. The original team was different than the current one, with many superheroes joining the Legends, only to later leave. Some actors, then, gave more memorable performances than others.

Caity Lotz

Legends of Tomorrow Legendary Sara Lance

Caity Lotz's Sara Lance took the audience by surprise when she became the original Black Canary on Arrow... and also the most popular one of the show. Sara then went on to lead the Legends as their Captain when Rip Hunter gave up his position.

Caity Lotz makes Sara both believable and sympathetic, despite her weaknesses and the mistakes she makes. She's just not as experienced an actress as some of her cast members. But her fighting skills, which come from Lotz's training, are always a pleasure to watch.

Maisie Richardson-Sellers

Charlie Legends Of Tomorrow

Even though Maisie Richardson-Sellers is one of the youngest actors on the show, she's already managed to portray two very different characters. She first played Amaya and then appeared as Charlie, one of three Fates.

Both of the performances fit with the rest of the show perfectly, but Charlie does draw more attention to herself, and this role gave the young British actress an even better chance to show off her acting chops.

Courtney Ford

Legends of Tomorrow Nora Darhk

To go from being a villain to being a hero is no easy task - but Courtney Ford portrayed Nora Darhk's transformation in a convincing way. Fans might have hated Nora at first but she became more sympathetic as time passed. And in the end, she was downright lovable, not just thanks to the script, but also Ford's performance.

It didn't hurt matters at all that Nora got together with Ray Palmer, and since their actors, Courtney Ford and Brandon Routh are married in real life as well, their characters had natural chemistry on the show.

Tala Ashe

Speaking of actresses who got the opportunity to portray different characters on the show, there's also the case of Tala Ashe and her two Zaris.

Both Zari number one and Zari number two differ in many ways, and when they actually met, it was easy to forget it was the same person. The new Zari is full of charisma and wit, but Ashe can easily pull off even more emotional scenes.

Dominic Purcell

Mick Rory smiling while he is writing his novel in Legends of Tomorrow

With Ray Palmer's departure from the show, Sara and Mick Rory are the only two original members of the team who still remain in the Legends.

At first glance, it might look like there's not much more to Mick beside his frightening appearance and love for violence and stealing. But Dominic Purcell enjoys discovering all other sides of Mick in the show, from his love for writing romantic novels, to his developing relationship with his daughter.

Neal McDonough

Damien Darhk looks menacing in a white light in Legends Of Tomorrow

Just like multiple characters of the show, Damien Darhk first appeared on Arrow before he went to other shows as well. Damien Darhk is primarily a villain and a highly dangerous one on top of that.

He's also a complex person who doesn't mind hurting others, but at the same time, he cares about his daughter and wants her to be happy in the end. Neal McDonough has been acting for decades, and every word he speaks as Damien Darhk is perfectly believable.

Brandon Routh

Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer The Atom Legends of Tomorrow

When the show started, Brandon Routh was one of its best-established actors, having appeared in films such as Scott Pilgrim Vs. the Rest of the World (2011) or Superman Returns (2006).

Routh first played Ray Palmer on Arrow but it was the Legends of Tomorrow that allowed Ray to let his inner geek out, and truly enjoy life. Routh's Ray was the heart and soul of the team, but he also convincingly portrayed a bad guy when the demon Neron wore his body.

Wentworth Miller

Captain Cold

Even though he started out as a villain on The Flash, Leonard Snart aka Captain Cold became one of the heroes in the end. He turned a new leaf, joined the Legends, and sacrificed his life to save them.

Wentworth Miller plays his villain turned hero with a roguish charm that's impossible for many fans to resist. So even though Wentworth no longer appears in the Arrowverse, he's still one of its most popular actors.

Victor Garber

Legends of Tomorrow Martin Stein

Victor Garber is one of the best-established actors who appeared on the show - with decades of acting experience under his belt, he portrayed Martin Stein with certainty many actors could be envious of.

Even though Stein was one of the heroes, who formed the superhero Firestorm, he didn't always behave right - especially when it came to his personal relationships. Despite that, thanks to Garber's performance, he was still relatable and popular among the fans.

Matt Ryan

John Constantine Matt Ryan Slay Anything Legends of Tomorrow

Even though his solo show ended after just one season back in 2014, Matt Ryan aka John Constantine shines alongside the rest of the Legends. Possibly because of the way the writers create his character - but it would be a mistake not to give Matt Ryan the credit he's due.

His Constantine is a breath of fresh air with his snarkiness, hidden insecurities, and a biting sense of humor as well as his wit (and the English accent).
