In the past, LEGO Ideas has given fans the resources they need to conceptualize and create some great sets. The Legend of Zelda seems like a great series for Nintendo to license into a LEGO format, and a fan-made Hyrule Castle set proves this. So, will this mean that fans will finally get some official Legend of Zelda LEGO sets soon?

It's not unheard of for fan-made sets at LEGO Ideas to be made into actual LEGO products. Minecraft sets started out there before becoming officially licensed, and a fan-made Metroid LEGO set could become a reality soon if enough people vote for it. Given the popularity of The Legend of Zelda, it seems like LEGO sets based on the series would be a big hit.

Nintendo is pretty careful with its IPs, especially The Legend of Zelda, but the company seems to have a good working relationship with LEGO. A number of LEGO products based on Super Mario were released to coincide with Mario's 35th Anniversary, and 2021 marks the 35th Anniversary of The Legend of Zelda. Naturally, this makes it the perfect time to release some Legend of Zelda LEGO sets, and a fan-made Hyrule Castle perfectly exemplifies just how cool one of those sets could be.

Why Legend Of Zelda LEGO Sets Make A Lot Of Sense

The Hyrule Castle LEGO set, which was created by Artem Biziaev on LEGO Ideas, has everything a fan would want from a building brick version of The Legend of Zelda. The product idea already has 10,000 supporters on the site, showing that there's definitely a demand for a set like this.

The 35th Anniversary of The Legend of Zelda is quickly approaching, and fans' expectations are high. With Nintendo already using Super Mario LEGOs to help celebrate Mario's 35th Anniversary, it only makes sense that the company might do the same thing for The Legend of Zelda. Of course, the final product may look a lot different from the Hyrule Castle set seen on LEGO Ideas, and nothing official has been confirmed by either company. Even if there are no Zelda LEGO releases for the 35th Anniversary, it seems like a no-brainer that Nintendo and LEGO would release Zelda sets at some point.

For now, LEGOs based on The Legend of Zelda are just a dream. But based on how sets found on LEGO Ideas have become a reality before, and how Nintendo has licensed its properties to LEGO in the past, it seems that the chances are good that The Legend of Zelda LEGO sets will happen at some point.
