Uriel and Delilah's voice actors tease their return in The Legend of Vox Machina season 2. The Legend of Vox Machina began as a Dungeons & Dragons campaign played by a group of voice actors. Their D&D sessions gained a following online when the game was posted on the Critical Role YouTube page, prompting a Kickstarter campaign to turn it into a series. The Kickstarter campaign earned over $11 million, proving wary investors wrong as it skyrocketed past the $750,000 they were after, getting the attention of Amazon, who brought The Legend of Vox Machina to their streaming service.

The Legend of Vox Machina cast includes Laura Bailey, Ashley Johnson, Taliesin Jaffe, Liam O'Brien, Sam Riegel, Marisha Ray, Travis Willingham, Grey DeLisle, and Khary Payton. The show's first season kicks off before the events that transpired in the YouTube games, following the eclectic heroes as they aid one of their own, Percy, in reclaiming his family home of Whitestone from the evil Briarwood family. However, the end of the season teased The Chroma Conclave, a massive threat likely to be familiar to fans of the Critical Role gaming sessions.

In an exclusive interview with Screen Rant, Payton and DeLisle opened up about The Legend of Vox Machina season 2. Payton praised the show's first season before teasing what's next, saying, "I'm pretty sure that I've got some characters to play." DeLisle hinted that she may be involved in "something adjacent" to Vox Machina, adding that she "can't say what." Check our Payton and DeLisle's comments about The Legend of Vox Machina season 2 below:

Khary Payton: "There's definitely talks and I'm excited to see how it all comes out. I think that the first season came out amazing, some of the animation was just sick. I love all of those guys and the story they told was amazing and I just knew that another season was coming out. Yeah, I'm pretty sure that I've got some characters to play."

Grey DeLisle: "In some capacity, yes. I can't say if it will be Vox Machina, but it might be something adjacent. [Laughs] I'm being so bad right now, I can't say what, but I definitely know that I'll always stay in the people' universe for the foreseeable future."

The Briarwoods smiling in The Legend of Vox Machina

Payton voiced Sovereign Uriel Tal'Dorei, the ruler of the Tal'Dorei empire, and DeLisle played Delilah Briarwood, one of the antagonists in season 1. Given the fantasy nature of The Legend of Vox Machina, either character could return for another season, depending on how the showrunners plan to continue the story. While Delilah was still alive but severely weakened at the end of season 1, the character's arc could be over as Percy's story with the Briarwoods came to an end. However, Payton's Uriel ends the season by ceding power to the council of Tal'Dorei, which could see the character still present, though likely not in power.

The Legend of Vox Machina has been renewed for a second season on Amazon Prime. Details are still scarce, but it looks like Payton and DeLisle are involved in some capacity. DeLisle's comments also hint that the second season could be something audiences aren't expecting or that her character could be involved with a type of spinoff, which some may interpret from her "something adjacent" comment. As the series develops, further details on The Legend of Vox Machina season 2 will be forthcoming.
